I Think I've Been Scammed

today some 1 add me for batman arkham origin ru+cis for 20$ paypal. Since he have rep, and i am new, i giv him the code 1st. after he active the key, he say only show Steam Sub 29695 not batman . During my activation, mine show that too but the batman add to my library. So i ask him to take screen shot - trying to active the key again, because if u already add the game, it will say u already have the game and install .. . But his screnshot show duplicate product code . Is this a scam? or rusia key problem?

It's possible he's saying truth. Tell him to restart Steam, game should be in his library.
And check his Steam profile.

Is that a retail code from RU/CIS? I really can't say for sure but Sub 29695 shows "Unknown BillingType"
I know Retail keys should have "Proof of Prepurchase Only" tag on billing type

yes it is retail code. During my activation it also state sub29695 unknow something. but the game add to my library .

Tell the person in question to look at the DB link above. It shows that Sub 29695 is indeed the pre-order edition of Batman Arkham Origin. There isn't much detail on it though, although no mention of region locking.

Resetting Steam Client does usually fixes these kinds of issues as wojtek858 said.

the code is ok , i told him to active again , it say duplicate product code, retrieve account . Mean the code already active. But if he using his steam id to active, it will state u already have the game even thought the key is already active.

Thing is the duplicate code window appears only if the user do not own the game and key has been used. So if he used the key initially he would have gotten the product already own window and will be given the option to install the game.

Someone already confirmed that the AppID is indeed B:AO, and the person you traded with confirmed that he got that ID as well. Chances are he activated the key on another account then use the key again on the account you are trading with to get the duplicate key window to try to avoid payment.

If you still have the chat log with him, you pretty much have all info to report him for scamming.
