I really like to have this game on my library or inventory. But, since this game is not available for purchase trough Steam anymore and all people who still have a copy left of this game wants a price of an console in change for this "rare" game. That makes me sad. LOL

Was there a retail CD-Key of Wolfenstein (2009)?

According to an answer from Amazon, yes, you can use the DVD key to activate it on Steam:

Question:
I ask if the key in the game can be activated in Steam.
Answer:
Yes, if memory serves. You intall from the DVD and then asks you to log into Steam to register the Key. You'll then probably have to download an update.

Think this isn't true, otherwise the game wouldn't be as expensive as it is.

I could be wrong, but pretty sure it doesn't have a steam key.

Isn't true. I just tried. It never worked and so it didn't recently.

But I was trying as it sometimes changes :)

There isn't even a list anymore as that article has been edited.

Strange, there was a list when I viewed it in my language: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7480-wusf-3601&l=swedish

But guess its removed like you said because it wasnt updated.

That's the original article. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just the English version that was updated.

But anyway, even if its an old article. The game is from 2009 so most likely it would be in the list if you could use the key from the box. :)

Unless you want a physical disc copy for PC, it might be time to just buy a PS3 and that game (along with various exclusives if you were still waiting for ports). It will work out far cheaper than any Steam copy. I got my PS3 copy of Wolfenstein for $4. :P

If console controls are an issue for you, I'll toss my disc into my PS3 in the morning and let you know if that is one of the PS3 games with KB/M support. I know various games on PS2 and PS3 (and likely PS4 as well) feature support, but I'm not aware of any online lists to make checking easier.
