Hello guys!

A few minutes ago I giveaway Counter-Strike Source:
http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/wa9jr/counter-strike-source

Winner in my giveaway was this 'sixty': http://steamcommunity.com/id/sixty/

A minute after that, to me knocked in steam a man with nickname and avatar of the winner:
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198013290473

And he asked me to send him a gift in steam (for him so easier^^).
I see that this is a fraud, because he has a different steam account.

History of nickname changes:

Name Changed - August 17, 2011 @ 11:47pm - boxxy
Name Changed - August 17, 2011 @ 11:50pm - sixty
Name Changed - August 17, 2011 @ 11:41pm - Poor Prince.
Name Changed - August 17, 2011 @ 11:25pm - Paul :D
Name Changed - August 18, 2011 @ 12:23am - Mr. Meidi

..ect (by the way - he multi accounts)

Contributors please be careful, do not send games to swindlers.

Thank you for your attention.

While that is true, it also warns gifters to use common sense. If you want to gift through steam, add the person through their steam profile linked via the site, not from random people adding you.

Thats what both people did for me when I won. Tell gifts "Go to them, don't let them come to you"

Agreed. The only way to be sure is to check the linked steam profile, everything else carries the risk of (probable) fraud.

no, they actually help:) my friend's giveaway just finished and he got 5 scammers asking for a gift, they just won... it was Hoard...
any gifter would think twice, if he gets 5 requests at once... and that was just Hoard... I would like to know, how many scammers asked for something like Witcher 2...:)

Why so many name changes!? But as said you can just say to him that his winning steam thingy was linked to that account. IF he complains saying. Ohh but thats someone elses. Ohh could you send it to this account. If he says that then No dont bother re roll. Scammers think there smart. But really dont take much notice in stuff.

they change names so often to try to claim more giveaways? anyway, best course of action is to block comms with the account. banning them isn't enough appearantly.
