I have to ask, is this suppose to make Steamgifts slow? I tried it and it makes the site a little slow (not much, but enough), it slows the scrolling by a little.

could if you are on a slow machine, it uses a fair bit of shadowing.

The turquoise hover of the top menu seems really out of place. The default hover color/gradient is already well suited for a dark theme. But if you're changing it, you should match it with the rest of the color scheme.

Nice! :) I, might keep it. Also tried first with Greasemonkey but some parts of page were still white, so installed with Stylish after all.
On this page everything looks perfect except "Submit Comment" button - http://puu.sh/f8DCL/0b7e60b2dc.png
EDIT: I've noticed this is the case with most of the buttons (like "enter" and "save") - the shadows on letters are making them harder to read and are kinda hurting my eyes to look at them for long...

That is the current state of the "Submit comment" button
Yes the buttons still need some work

That is all I wanted - to know that they are on "to do" list. :)

This reply thing is handy. ;)
Btw - Does it update by itself or it's manual..?

No, no, this dark theme of yours. When you make changes to it, does it automatically changes for us, or we have to do something to update? ^_^
EDIT: OMG I don't even know who's theme it is. >.<

This looks amazing, much easier to see and read everything than on the very light theme. Thank you so much!!

I like the color of dark theme on neogaf a bit more: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/index.php?&styleid=40
You know, just a bit brighter.

I don't necessarily prefer the brightness of the scheme, but I definitely prefer the color pallet and minimalistic approach. Using primarily grays and dark grays is preferable, in my opinion, to the sort of "enhanced with color" tinting that themes like this one does for SteamGifts.

Not my preferred color scheme, but it's at least easier on the eyes now.
If you don't mind a suggestion, I'd much rather prefer a simpler, more minimalistic scheme (both in format and color), comprising only a few necessary colors: black, gray, red, dark blue, and dark green. There could be multiple hues and shades of the aforementioned colors, but I think a more minimalistic approach would be better.
In particular, the blue-green tinting on the background and boxes aren't very appealing, in my opinion. I'd much rather prefer a black or dark gray approach, something which is less of a "night life" approach and more of a "night time" color scheme. Then again, maybe I'm just a sucker for blacks and grays.
EDIT: I'd also tone the green down to not be so bright, and to bring it closer to a dark green shade. The neon colors really contrast with the rest of the scheme and can be distracting, especially the turqoise color when hovering over certain buttons. That seems out of place and a rather unnecessary expansion on the color scheme.
Also, I'm not sure if this is necessarily an issue with the script or just with how Stylish operates, but sometimes the default bright color scheme will flash during the initial load of a new page on SteamGifts. This can be quite an eyesore, but I suspect this has more to do with how Stylish loads after the initial color scheme, and not replace it, per se.

Colors have been toned down (green buttons could still use more) backgrounds brighter but not neogaf bright
and yes flashes are not something that can be controlled as this is loaded after page loads.

Should be corrected now, if not you can use the userscript i provided.

SteamGifts v2 Dark Userstyle
Bright/light sites can be hard on the eyes so for us ocular challenged people i created a darker version. Works on www.steamgifts.com, www.steamtrades.com, www.sgtools.info . Compatible with most scripts found in the addon registry..
Also check out my other style SG Dark Grey.
Note: Style is now hosted on github as userstyles.org is no longer supported.
Install Stylus for either Firefox, Chrome or Opera and then install the style using one of these methods:
