I failed an sgtools check and the way the wording on sg is always confuses me. Here's what was returned on my check.

Custom rule: trade_ban == false and community_ban == false and pass_activated_rule == true and pass_multiple_rule == true and ((level <= 2.55 and num_won <= (3 + level) and raw_won <= (30 + level 10) and 730 not in owned_games and 218620 not in owned_games and 578080 not in owned_games)) or (level > 2.55 and (level raw_won <= real_sent_cv or (real_won_region_restricted == 0 and (num_won >= 20 or raw_won >= 200))))

So what's it mean? Have I won too many games relative to what I've given?

Oh, and here's a giveaway for Verdun

I can't say I was aware that custom rules were even a thing. Curious. Is there a particular section of that custom rule that you're confused about?

Ok, I'm parsing it piece by piece, trying to figure out the syntax. It helps to have some coding background, thankfully. The numbers that aren't in brackets, such as "730 not in owned_games" etc are related to steam game IDs I believe, so if you own those particular steam game IDs, that would disqualify you. 730 is Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. 218620 is PAYDAY 2: Ultimate Edition. 578080 is PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS. Now, why he/she would automatically disqualify EVERYBODY that owns any or all of those games, your guess is as good as mine. But most likely that's the culprit.

FYI, I pulled the AppID information from SteamDB.info

well afaik, some people have a aversion to the above mentioned games and the toxic community they host, hence the custom rules.

My personal interpretation after deconstructing the rule, is that the giveaway creator has an aversion towards low level users who enter any giveaway they can, but keep playing the same multiplayer games over and over.

You can still qualify if your level is over 2.5 !
The rules about the games apply only for low levels user.

Here's the rule after deconstructing it: no trade bans, no community bans, no unactivated wins, no multiple wins, then one of the following two:

  1. if your level is lower or equal to 2.55, your won gifts must be no more than 3 + your level, your raw won CV must be no more than 30 times your level, and you must not own Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, PAYDAY 2: Ultimate Edition, PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS;
  2. if you're over level 2.55, your level multiplied by your raw won CV must be lower or equal to your real sent CV, OR:
    • if you have no region locked wins, your wins must be at least 20, OR your raw won CV (I guess?) must be at least $200.

And here's your situation: you're being checked against the your level multiplied by your raw won CV must be lower or equal to your real sent CV part, since you're level 4, and have region restricted wins... which you cannot pass because, quite obviously, raw won CV is higher than real sent CV, if you have sent mostly bundled games and/or won many games. By the way, the asterisk is a special Markdown character for italic text, you need to escape it this way: \*

I also own Playerunkown. Weird to restrict people who own it. Thanks for the explanation.

You are not concerned by owning PUBG, it's for people with levels < 2.55

I think you are correct. You won too much compared to what you have given. But I might misread the rule.

SGTools isn't part of SG - It's an extension/website developed by third-party.

It means someone has way too much time on their hands to come up with such an arbitrary set of rules.

I'll clarify that if your level is higher than 2.55 (which it is), the rule about not owning PUBGS is not applied at all.
You're only checked for one of these conditions:

  • level * raw_won <= real_sent_cv (your level is 4, your raw_won is about 680, but the sent CV is lower than 680 * 4 )
  • you haven't won anything that is region-restricted while winning more than 20 games or more than $200 in raw value

Thanks for the explanation :o)

Bad he/she sort out users in such a strict way.
I own CSGO (like the most people) BUT play it only from time to time with my nephews (same with Insurgency - and there i beat them :-D -).
It's not the best way to close all out only it give a lot of a**holes there.

I can understand that he/she want not all "leechers" or less givers.
But i am sure i don't fullfill his rules. I gave more then i took AND not own sooo much games. A lot of my owned stuff are AAA Games (i think over 1/3). So i can understand when it is frustrating not to pass this rules.

It's her/his GA's and he/she can set any rules he/she like.
But i would be very interested which GA's he/she joins by others....

One more GA and you're above the 2.55 rule :)
Also, I know from who is coming this, and this person has won less than me in Real Value, while giving FAR FAR much !

Ah KiiTA thanks :) (you are whitelisted since a few days)

I am not sure that i can pass when i am over the 2.55 rule :D

In my head is at the moment the song "I am pretty fly for a white guy", more exactly the "give it to me baby, a-ha a-ha....". The brain is sometimes strange ;)

I agree, but I guess it's better to be on the save side because it's not worth to get a suspension for this.
