Games on Origin are generally language locked instead of being region locked. There should be no problems for you activating that game in Australia.

Without going to the Grey market I say you are out of luck. Origin games are not all that popular with traders and they don't go on sale all that often on third party sites. You might just have to buy it straight from EA if you want to play it now.
