OMD is one of my favourite games of recent years. I think OMD2 was too rushed and it is far from balanced if youre looking to play single player only (the difficulty seems to ba based on 2 player co-op throughout) and just isnt generally as fun - but it is still a fun game.

I have only OMD + the dlc's, and it's very fun.

I think there's little point getting the first game if you have the second; all the levels and weapons of the first game are also in the second. However for €7.50 (or a similar price in your currency), the second game and its DLCs are great value for money.

I thought the first game's levels were included in the second only if you already own the first game?

Yep. This.

and more importantly you can play those co-operatively. there are also levels not included in the second one from the first game that are fun to play so it's worth getting the first one if you're a TD enthusiast or just really like the style of OMD2

10 levels of the first one are included in the 2nd one .. ONLY if you own the first one.

Do you guys think there's any more DLC for OMD2 on the way? If so, I can wait for it. I noticed there's no GOTY package/edition of OMD2 yet like there is for OMD1. I also wonder what the chances are that OMD1+DLC will be thrown into a bundle soon...

There's a Complete Pack of OMD2 which is just like a GOTY..

Yes, I know, but the fact they haven't labeled it "GOTY" like they did for the first game makes me suspicious they might add more DLC to it later. It's been 5 months though since Yeti came out so maybe they're done with the game.

I doubt so, but this is speculation.

My reasoning is for a couple reasons, the first one is that DLC was coming out consistently after the release, and now it's been quite a few months since the last one (a much larger gap than the gaps between release and each DLC).

Secondly they also stopped being responsive (Robot Entertainment, that is) to the community on the forums for the most part as well as the fact they have stopped making new weekly challenges (an in-game thing, they created a new challenge every week). I felt like if they were planning on releasing more DLC they would have been a bit more responsive to the community until it was released, almost feels like they are working on an entirely new project now (either OMD3 or a new IP)

As for OMD being bundled, it's hard to say, but I feel like OMD would be welcomed into any bundle (including the big HIBs) and the fact that it hasn't been in one so far means that perhaps the developers don't want it to be bundled, or at least not for awhile.

Thanks for the insight. I'll probably hold off then until after HIB8 and pick it up during the summer sale if there's no bundles that include it by then. You're right that it's very unlikely they'll put out another DLC if 6+ months have passed since the last one.

Depends on your taste, but I would say yes. OMD2 is one of five or six games I have over 100 hours played on Steam. DLC add new levels and what not, so picking them up in the pack is a good deal. As others have mentioned owning OMD means you get 10 levels from OMD revamped for both SP and co-op play in OMD2

Fast question, if I have Orcs must die! 2 and then I would buy complete pack I'll get DLCs but main game from pack will disappear, right?

yeah, you would get a single item to redeem. you would not get another copy of OMD2 to give away.
