I agree it sucks. I think it should be blocked for a year and set to 0cv.. but then allowed again a year later.. not everyone had access to it then, or was around, and now they are sol short of buying it or finding someone with a key somewhere..

It's a bit sad because I bought it in the Steam store as a gift. These sites only give away keys in massive amounts and you can't create a gift out f it, so a function to ONLY block keys would be really awesome. Maybe it's a bit hard to code, don't know.

They apparently tried this. People hoarded free keys until it could be given away again, then floods of GAs came in.

I don't really see the issue with it. If it's 0CV then they get nothing, so the people that would wait are doing it for anyone that wants it, not any gain themselves. And if people don't wanna see them, put them on your ignore list. Done.

Yes if a game ever going for free or even get giveaway in mass amount ( aka some sites give away like 10k+ key or something like that) that game will eventually got remove of giveaway game list.

I mostly lobby for the 0cv thing however if a game is made free on steam it is removed from people's steam client library
woof blaster is a good recent example
because of how SG tracks key redemption disappearing games can cause problems.

Hey guys, I can't find any answer in die FAQs or guidelines, so maybe someone can help me.
Why are you not able to give away all available Steam games? I want to give away KnightShift as a gift, but in the creation tool, I can't find the game. Even if I copy in the store page of the game. Earlier I had a spare copy of Dead Bits and this one doesn't worked either.
