Actually 7 of them are on steam. Not that it matters anyway since none of them have steam keys included anyway.

Irrelevant. The point was that they are not "just" mobile games. That implies a certain style and/or quality.

Desktop dungeons and unmechanical are actually indeed great games.
I wonder how great the ports are. Would be wonderful on tablet.
And Fandango does not need an introduction... It's indeed a good bundle though tier 3 is kinda expensive for my liking since I'm not interested in the other games at all.

Tier 3 might be expensive if you consider it on it's own but the difference between it and BTA is only 33¢ so there's really no reason not to take Tier 3 if you were going BTA anyway.and it's been like that since launch.

Agreed. But yeah, personally I'm mostly interested in desktop dungeons so 6 bucks is imo a bit much for a mobile port of that game.

Lara Croft GO is awesome. played it on iOS. i highly recommend this one.

Desktop Dungeons being $10 normally makes me consider tier 3, but my phone is a piece of hot garbage so it's probably not the best use of my money.

Not a problem. You can play all of these on your PC.

They are basically DRM free. Downlaoding DRM-free installers and handing them out to other people makes you an asshole at best, a pirate at worst. The other people can just steal/pirate their own installers off the internet by googleing "(game name) apk" if that is the case.

Some games are optimized for tablets but most will still play perfectly well on phones. I was told repeatedly that Baldur's Gate would be unplayable on my 5" phone but I had no problems at all. XCOM was the same situation.

So that you only need to carry around one device, which you are more likely to have with you all the time. A tablet is something you have to remember to take with you, and then when you need it, it's often not there. You always have your phone no matter what.

"Isn't it troublesome to carry around big phones?"
Nope, at least, not for me. I think one big reason for that is that my phone is used primarily for texting, email, web browsing, videos, and apps, as I do very little talking. People who primarily use their phone to talk probably prefer a smaller device. People who primarily use their phone for data often prefer a larger device.

I don't like buying android games from HIB anymore now that they don't provide steam keys.
The old android apk I got either crashes or just doesn't run at all. They don't seem to update it there.
I probably buy them if they provide google play redeemable codes. But nop, not even that.

The bundles with Steam keys were special PC and Android bundles. Those were not the norm but the exception.

Google doesn't permit something like that. Devs can generate only a small number of game keys for beta testers and reviewers. It's not like Steam that lets you generate hundreds of thousands at a time.

Does anyone know if these games are playable on an unrooted, standard kindle?

Yes, this might help ya: https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidGaming/comments/2b1ukb/humble_bundle_apk_on_kindle_fire/

Yes, it's called SteamGifts, but then I take that to mean games, and I find the posting of movie deals to be more a waste of time.
The only time I've seen film bundles listed is when they take the place of a regular gaming bundle [ie, Humble Weekly], and that's more to clarify there isn't a gaming bundle that go-around.
Otherwise, similar bundles [like Groupees' rather common non-game bundles] are almost never posted at all.
Rather, there's reason enough to assume [rightly or wrongly] that mobile gaming is less popular among the population of this site than films, given comparative discussion rate and the users of this site being more "involved" in gaming than the typical perception of mobile/social/flash game enthusiasts.
There's no need to come across as elitist with your tastes- If you feel it's a deal worth posting, then post it.
Given that GOG and Origin promotions are listed in Deals, there's no reason to assume Mobile can't be- and rather, before we all got dependent on Rachel to do all our work for us, I seem to recall them having been put up, time to time.
I imagine the real reason they stopped getting posted, however, is simply because they got moved to their own section of the site- prior to that they were core/weekly bundles.

"There's no need to come across as elitist with your tastes..."
That's funny, because elitism is in the DNA of this web site. :-|
For the record, I'm a film buff, so yes, I am elitist in the sense that unless Steam is going to start carrying the Criterion Collection or similar quality films, I have less interest in seeing that sort of thing on my gaming platform. My problem isn't with films, it's with low-budget stuff that I would prefer to stream on Netflix rather than buy.

:cough:
The site hosting that bundle actually posted the thread for it, so I didn't count it :P
Also, if you meant Steam films specifically, then sure, I'll agree, they're large and by complete trash.
Add in how terrible Steam is at managing media [Valve's usual dedication to quality shining through brightly and all] and I think you're pretty safe from being considered elitist in your being disdainful of the matter.
Your phrasing seemed to indicate you were opposed to films on the whole [though in fairness, I guess such deals've primarily been for youtube and steam films, so I think I'm seeing how that could have seemed an intuitive association for you].
And yeah, Netflix is a great place for junk films- pity Valve decided to try and out-specialize them :P
It seems I've misconstrued your viewpoint, so simply consider the last paragraph of my previous post. :)
I don't see any issue with posting mobile bundles, though I certainly wouldn't have any interest in them.
I just wish people'd, say, start posting music deals to the Off-Topic forum.
Oh, how useful that would be~ ^.^

It is true that we also post about bundles/deals for games that are not on Steam (i.e. Origin or DRM free), but this site is mostly about PC/desktop gaming. Console games and mobile games/deals are quite out of scope.
It is fine if you want to talk about them, but don't expect people to keep you updated with console/mobile deals, they won't get the same coverage as steam games/deals.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm not expecting a flood of mobile deals, because most of them are not that impressive, I was speaking mainly about Humble as a worthy exception.
Comment has been collapsed.
I think that's a pretty good perspective on the matter. :)
Of course, as far as console deals go, the fact that there's only been one console bundle/digital deal of note thus far, seems to ensure we're pretty safe from being regularly updated on the topic :P

Only interested in Lara Croft Go so it is a pass for me.

Any particular reason no one ever bothers to post about these anymore?

The current one has some decent games, which are well-regarded on the desktop.
