Cant fault you at that, the idea of a demo is to comprise the selling points in a few hours of gameplay.
With that said, there have been better Demos:
Killzone games on PS3 would give you MP for free, nowadays people pay for games like this, just for multiplayer only.

I get your point, I've never played the game, but just did a little check and saw no achievements like they said (Did they really mean steam achievements?), and seem the demo didn't even showing on profile page of users. Bonus the point they didn't announce straight that they will release a demo, make a lot of people confused. Idk, but I think they're just very carefully use their words and numbers to lure people in, while the contents are not that great like we thought.

It's not a game, it's just a "demo", no "+1", no "Cards", no "Paris", nothing more than a simple demo. You can't add to library, just install to play it. Type steam://install/649780 in browser or go to Store Page and on the right side click Download Demo.
