I didn't like Command and Conquer 3, but some people do for some reason. It just felt like a hollow game to me. I did like Red Alert 3, though. RA3 Uprising was lackluster. I haven't played 4, but people say it's the worst one of all.

4 isn't that bad..just like i said it doesn't feel like a CNC..it should've been something else or some other franchise..also since the NDA on the closed alpha is removed i can say freely that the new CNC was generals but with a league of legends-like system for buying generals

I do so wish they'd do a reboot of C&C Generals.... (

My first command and conquer was Command and Conquer Red Alert Retaliation. I loved the damn game because it was my first RTS. The only other strategy game I have ever played was 1602 A.D and... well.... Pikmin... So it was a big deal to me. Being I was an idiot, I bought Red Alert 2 thinking it was the same game. I popped it in and I was confused, it was nothing like the previous game. Holy shit, did I love it much more. I played the living shit out of that game to the point I began wanting more out of it, so I began making maps for it. Eventually, it lead to mod maps. At one point, the Project Perfect Mod community came up from a google search (I was looking for tutorial to further teach myself modding since you can learn only so much from copying other people's code in maps to see what they do). I eventually upload one of my maps and they fucking hated it, like they hate all mod maps. They said I should mod and I Said I do not do mods because I thought they were too hard, i later learned it was the complete opposite so I began doing it myself. I had so much fun modding Red Alert 2, but Yuri's Revenge was where the real modding scene was. I eventually got The First Decade and played the shit out of Yuri's Revenge for awhile and, you guessed it, I began modding it. I uploaded some videos on youtube out of boredom and to show some friends (at the time, it was more ideal to upload recordings than share screens or what not). I do not know how or why, but whenever you google searched Yuri's Revenge, my video would show up. So I got a lot of traffic that demanded tutorials on how I did what I did in the video and so I did them. i even got a following for my mod out of it, something I never thought possible. All of that is the reason I am so interested in making my own games as a job. Not only creating for myself what I think is fun, but because of the audience of many like minded individuals that also thinks what you are making is fun and would like to enjoy it with you. I dunno, I always felt like I had ideas that people seemed to like and I would love to share it with them. This is something of myself I would never really know until Yuri's Revenge came in my life :) Hopefully my work in the future will not be a big piece of shit like my teen's work... lol
Long story short, I definitely love the command and conquer games. All except the new ones (RA3 and Command and conquer 4. C&C 3 and Kanes Wrath was the last good command and conquer game)

Closest you are going to get for another C&C game is this game releasing in Febuary.
And its totally free to play.
Its a remake of C&C Renegade MP only. Done by community admins and game moderators.

Yep I loved the Command & Conquer series. I still play Generals & Zero Hour every now and then for the multi-player. When I first saw the new F2P game that was meant to be released, I was so hopeful, with a side of doubt as it was a F2P game. But since they cancelled that and now say they are looking at an old-fashioned retail game, there is a small chance, we will get what we have been waiting for. I'm hoping that's it's not another massive disappointment like C&C 4 was.

Today i opnened up my origin acc andsaw i have the CNC ultimate collection there..along with my playstation CNC 1,red alert and red alert retaliation.my retail copies of every CNC game, dune 1,2 and 2000 and the first decade retail...i feel sad.anyone else crave a new CnC? i just played a singleplayer skirmish map of the canceled closed alpha. god i feel so sad right now just remembering those times playing CNC..i remember putting the godzilla code on the 1st CNC (PSX version) to have every unity talk in japanese. Sorry for the rant but it breaks my heart seeing a part of my childhood that followed me for so long just leaving and staying there...like seeing photos of a pet that died:(
