I don't quite understand how any of this is different

How is this different from trading in Team Fortress 2?
We’ve improved the display of changing which items are in the trade, and significantly increased the number of items that can be traded in one session. We hope these improvements will help with confusion or users trying to deceive others in the trade.

So I guess we can trade more than 8 items. I don't know i'll have to check it out. But doesn't sound like too much of a difference just reading the change on paper.

I have zero interest in anything TF2 related, I meant how it is different for people who don't play it.

Probably not at all. Just improves TF2 from the sound of it.

It works for steam games too.
You can buy a game as a gift, store it, and send it later, or trade in steam for another game or tf2 stuff..

They added a backpack to your account, it seems.

It's different if you want to trade Steam gifts with someone. Previously, if you want to trade either TF2 items or a gift for another... you would have to rely on someone going first and the other party honoring the agreement. Now it's a built in feature where there's some security in that both people get their stuff at the same time.

It's basically just Vavle saying "You people were already doing this so this will cut down on scamming."... not to mention "Games as currency for virtual items? HA! We're gonna be RICH(er)!".

On second post: I DL'd the update and tried it, and it fucked up my friends list to the point of not being able to see anyone or enter any chat room. Welp, that was fun.

EDIT: I am an idiot. I use a skin.

Hot Damn. If it works how it sounds, this makes my steam market guide a gold mine.

It's making me second guess about updating it because I had published it to try to get people interested in trading and investing games. I now think this update alone may do it.
