You have created 170 listings this year. Before you can sell or list more than 200 items in a calendar year, we are required to collect certain information from you.

We need the following information from you. Please click a link below to start the process:
U.S. taxpayer identification number or certification of non-U.S. residency

If you go here you should see the notice, otherwise here is mine.

Whazze has posted this link which seems to indicate the tax information allows you to go past the 200 transaction limit per year. I believe you need over 150 transactions before this shows up.

I am from Canada, so that is not the reason.

I have used 170/200 yearly transaction and made $500+ since January, so that could be it.

if its anything like amazon they will try to collect that info when you near 50 sales(well.. by try I mean try and months after I sold 49 items :P) .. or some dollar amount.. I think it was $1,000

Worse case scenario, I move to an idle account and start selling again.

Since I only have 30 more transactions, I had to do that regardless.

I wonder what's the limit, I've sold 55 keys so far earning me around 110$

No taxpayer stuff on mine. I do however see a "Total Spent" below my wallet balance which you don't seem to have on your screenshot.

Probably because you're using Enhanced Steam

That would explain why I've never seen it before. Thanks.

As fadillzzz said, it's from Enhanced Steam addon.

My screenshot was from the client as opposed to Chrome where you would have seen it.

Just added the extension recently. Still finding out all that it does.

I love how it shows which DLC you already own, makes it much easier, when it works that is. I've found it's somewhat finicky with highlighting the DLC or games, not sure if it's due to my crappy PC or if it's bugging out.

Ya that parts awesome. The prices for the different stores sometimes overlaps when looking at game lists. Most recently noticed it when looking at the sale items for the indie sale in a vertical list.

EDIT: Now with Pictures
Turns into a bit of a mess.

I think Steam may have changed their layout and the extension hasn't been updated to reflect those changes.

If you don't see it you probably haven't used the steam market. I confirmed I'm outside the US so I could continue to farm free money from the market. :p

It's going to be funny when your country's revenue agency receives paperwork from Steam showing how much you've earned and they see you haven't paid taxes on it.

Lol, scaremongerer. Back under the bridge with you. Most countries don't give a hoot. If I could pull cash out it might be another matter but if we were to go by value (EG steam wallet earned) then they'd be more worried about SteamGifts than the Steam Market.

No tax bill yet. Should I inform you daily that you're wrong, or is weekly or monthly enough?

I'm not sure if you're scared and trying hide it or just really confident and arrogant.

Either way, it's pretty funny.

I don't think PayPal randomly sends tax information without your acknowledgement.

they will ask you you to fill a form if you exceeded a certain amount or exceeded the number of transaction per year. I didn't reach this limit so I don't know how exactly this works but I know paypal will send you a tax form so you can declare your income from blizzard's rmah

This or as in same as gambling or being a waitress or anything of the such involving cash transactions where they expect you to claim what you have received in whatever form from the year. Otherwise after a limit they will send you a form.. As in if you gamble and make money in poker over a certain amount. They will take your info to claim before they hand you the cash for chips.

I guess I'm lucky that I didn't use the community market much until the New Year or else I might have pushed myself over with my D3 earnings.
