Not like they are even trying anymore with (bad) games?
Has there been any official word?

Beats me

Ive heard somewhere that they promised some sort of comeback but i have yet to see it.

I would rather have their old bundles with old titles than the current lineup with possibly passable music and mostly shovelware titles/games that hardly anybody would want, even for free. They really have fallen from grace as far as quality goes...

Last time i seen something a few weeks ago they done "ecchi" games but not in english. If i remember me right they had only chinese or japanese texts/language, were DRM free games but with a lot of install problems.
I don't think that sold well.

Did Groupees ever resume paying developers?

Thought I would post this here since it's missing from SG forums but Groupees (even the music section) is dying, so you may want to access your unused/unrevealed game keys and download music.

Didn't feel like creating a new thread, but if anyone thinks it's worth making a separate Groupees dead thread please do so.

It existed, but was closed for some reason.

Thanks for the grabber!

Someone alerted me a couple of times since the middle of last month, but the discussion seems to be closed. πŸ€”

Thanks for the info on the tool too.
However, there was a spec change at one point, so people who downloaded the files should check once to make sure they are all selected.
(So I did it manually...)

I was told this in the Groupees chat but apparently it didn't work in my environment.

This helps, but I lack space for all the pdf comics (some 900mb each) and music I bought, grr. there was no email announcement or nothing. just saw these posts.

I believe the announcement has been on the chat room since about June.
How did this happen? The "Why did this happen?" is still shown in the scrolling message.
There was a Twitter notification.
But there is no "email notification" as you say.
γ€€If you wonder why, perhaps it is not working due to the fact that the "technical team is in Ukraine".
In any case, we need to move everything in hand by the end of this month...

When I collected the music data in FLAC, it exceeded 60 GB....
I actually need to back up my games as well, but haven't gotten around to it yet.πŸ˜…

γ€€The site itself had a long hiatus from selling Steam games.
I guess that unless you are a "storage hobbyist" for some reason, you can recover some of what you might lose with "Spotify" or "soundcloud" or "bandcamp". (The sound quality can be disappointing, and there are some sounds that are only distributed on this site.)πŸ€”

The "chat room" was very active at this site.
You might want to take another look at it and not just back it up.
The whole planet is being ruined by war, so maybe a little good can come of it.πŸ”ŽπŸŽ

cant they just move the servers / rehost elsewhere - dont these companies have some sort of redundancy backup service in case their hardware fail? image if steam had only one server and it went down, few people have space to download all in bulk, hence store things in cloud for access. you dont keep each game's files installed in case steam server dies. chatrooms wont mean a thing when server dies.

The fact that the service has operated at least until now after the end of February suggests that there was hardware redundancy.

So what is the problem?
The problem is probably that during the period between the end of February and now, "the sale of new bundles has been disabled.
I think I have seen the exchange in the chat message.
(I think a few months ago, in response to someone's question about why new bundles were not being added, there was a discussion about the technicians from the management.)

I don't have any information about August so far.πŸ€”

Groupees MP3/FLAC Downloader

This would have been nice before I manually went through everything but like 3 bundles :D
But still, thanks for the reminder, I'd be so disappointed in myself if I'd forget the Miracle of Sound bundles.
