So recently, I noticed my pinky and ring finger on my left hand were becoming numb after playing for a while. I found out that I had irritated my carpal tunnel, so now I have to wear a wrist restraint for part of the day to let it heal. Has anyone else gotten any gaming injuries?

For those wondering, I game on a laptop which isn't very ergonomical. I can still play with the wrist restraint, but I'm not as versatile and usually have to resort to just sniping in most FPS games.

I'm at high risk for heart problems so lets hope it doesn't come to that :P

Well...
Back in the days, while playing X-Wing, my joystick broke cause I kinda pulled up to hard (shame on you for laughing now).
Because that stick was all I was holding on to, I got jolted into the backrest of my chair, the chair tilted, I tried to get a grip on s.th. to prevent me from hitting the ground, all I could reach was a flowerpot, so my head slammed on the ground, and said flowerpot hit my face.
Result: A minor skull fracture, concussion and a broken hand.
And that´s a true story. :)

OUCH! "Minor" skull fraction? Although minor, I bet that hurt like a bitch!

yah, by minor i mean something like a hair thick crack, not really a fracture, but kept me in hospital for like 3 weeks.

I'm not really sure what mine is. Every so often my left arm kind of feels sore, and I don't have to have just been gaming for it to happen. Once it starts up, it's normally going to be like that for the rest of the day. I know it's from the 300 hours of WASDing in Binding of Isaac. I've stopped playing Isaac for a bit, does anyone know what it is?

Could be carpal tunnel. I know once it gets bad it'll effect your entire arm and shoulder.

I once felt pain in my mouse hand (right), then I suspected it was CTS. But then I think logically myself and position my arm to not focusing the weight/pressure on my wrist, like having elbow support, push your wrist forward into the desk (don't put your wrist at the edge of the desk/anything you're leaning at), etc etc and you should be fine. Just take a rest if you think you've played for too long.

I had it when I played BioShock, was playing like 5 hrs straight for a couple days pressuring my wrist. I had it coming.
