I never managed to enjoy Titan Quest as much as D2, I wanted to, just something didn't click for me.

A roguelite deckbuilding adventure game about magical coins. You play as a lootmancer, who can unlock the hidden power inside of coins and use them in magical duels. The loots you take from chests and enemies also become your next moves, so plan carefully!

It is. It's very hard too. I never managed to finish it. More of a true roguelike. I did have fun with it though.
As for the roguelikes, to tell you the truth only the turn based ones are true to their genre. Perhaps you are searching for realtime hybrids? Such as rogue legacy or an action rpg. Those are light games though and not as tactical.

What a curious standart to look for... i do enjoy interesting loot in games (and sadly most loot-fest games ive played had so many small stats variations that the loot rarely was exciting), but i never saw that as something needed.
You should check Victor Vran, best arpg ive played this year and with some interesting loot variety.
Also theres that famous free loot game from valve: Team Fortress 2. They should seriously change its name now, Loot Fortress would make more sense.

Victor vran seems decent though still a bit expensive if you ask me....

It got reset in November after they dropped rewards program, but you can still earn credit in other ways - partner program, purchases made by your referrals, accepted reviews. Since credit got reset in November I earned ~50-60£ of new credit myself in preparation for their winter sale.

Edit: Not really loot based game but, well... really enjoyed playing it.

Sacred and Titan Quest we pretty good. Played them both
Sacred has more than 500 hours of gameplay if you want to completely finish it, and it's loot-centered

There is no loot in sacred 3, the changed the kind of game
2 was also very good

I'm looking for some underrated or possibly somewhat unknown loot based games, that are on sale or pretty cheap on steam only....
I have most of them such as Borderlands and some loot roguelikes but im looking for ones that I might not have or know about
