I have left a comment like "Congratz on winning SG key. I have sent it to your mail".

It's crazy that I got community ban. I havent left any links whatsoever.

I have contacted Steam support to appeal it, but I'm giving you a heads up what might you get.

Congratz on winning SG key

Although that does sound like a regular pop up ad "congratz, you won a brand new iphone 56, to claim it do ....."
Not really surprised your comment somehow got flagged as well for scam. Anyway - hope you get the ban lifted, but I would be careful of posting comments in profiles on steam.

If they don't look at the key after a week, reroll. No need to waste time chasing them anymore.

a bot ?

Bots exist, but it's also possible they just didn't check in very often. They have a week, but there's no need to wait longer than that, and no longer any need to chase them up since the new non responsive winner ticket system was introduced.

Was wondering if you are a bot :>
Question from OP was different :)

The OP is posting spam on people's Steam profiles, and sending keys to their "mail" probably email. None of that is required. The OP didn't even have a question. Are you sure you're not a bot?

i barely if at all look into my emails except for my primary one that i have on my phone. every other email account will only be accessed when necessary for whatever.

i wonder though why OP felt the need to send the key via email instead of using the integrated system on SG. its even less hassle.
and instead of posting some fishy comment on steam that sounds like any other scam message (no wonder they got a ban), they could have commented on one of the winners old GA (if they had any).

on a side note ... i personally would like SG to disable having my email address be visible to other ppl even if its "just" a gifter. i feel like there is a lot of abuse possible here

Yes, I have my spam, but barely monitored email on this site. I access it when I need to, but not that often. OP recently made GAs after a seven year break, and was not familiar with the current process, or the fact that Steam is pretty heavy handed on suspected spam.

Until recently, the website had no way of tracking when you sent the key. So if you had no proof that you've been waiting for a week after having sent the key via SG, the mods would still deny a reroll. In such a case, an email could be considered as proof.

However, the system was changed a few months ago, and mods can now see when a key was sent.

Reroll is possible 1 week after you contacted with the winner I guess?

A week after you send the key, assuming it is a key. I assume it works the same with links to Humble etc. Not sure about gifts. You'd probably still need to show you tried to contact them. Yeah, Steam doesn't like certain keywords and thinks it's spam. In my case it only refused to post a similarish message, so I stopped using it for reminders and such. It's certainly a lesson for everyone.

Don't use "congrat..." or "win/won"...
Just make a reference to 'space cat'

Leaving a SG win reminder on a Steam profile can earn you a ban. Nothing new there as such incidents were reported here already.

This was one of the reasons to automate re-roll if winner is unresponsive and hunting down such bots members is no longer needed.

Bro...

This suspension will be lifted on January 19, 2038 at 04:14 AM.

Am I suppose to create another steam account if they wont remove my ban and I wanna keep using SG? Now it automatically became private...

That REALLY sucks mate. :(

Maybe the website's guidelines should be changed to warn people not to do this, because it's not the first time this has happened...

That's the best outcome you could hope for. Still, I'm uncomfortable with my account at the mercy of some clowns from Steam support.
