Today I realzied I have now over 400 games on steam. I know that isn't much for the most of you. But my problem is: I'm a gamer, who wants to play almost all these games. I'm not a collector. At least I thought so! Do you have the same problem?

Here's a small giveaway for Fantasy Wars https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/mKEYl/fantasy-wars

And when you find the poll interesting please bump! Thanks!

Are you also frightened how many games you have already on Steam?

My library is full of games I'm dying to play but my problem stems from me wanting to get 100% achievement completion on all of them, which won't happen. So I'm in a massive gaming rut at the moment :'(

Well, I started collecting everything because having lots of games was never an option for me as a kid.
But nowadays I can barely find the motivation to play them all, I usually just wanna play the same games when I have time. >:

Well, buying games is better than drugs and alcohol, so I'm okay with it. :3

If I were buying the games, it'd be a problem. But I don't, so it doesn't worry me too much. I used to grab all the free crap from Gleam and such, (that's one reason why I have so many games) but I've stopped doing that and now I only add games to my library if I really want to play them.

No, I dont feel frightened, I am slowly playing through all of them when I have time (I finished 2 today), but I also very very rarely buy games for myself anymore.

I'm concerned about the amount I have (a little under 600) especially since I have a lot of unactivated keys lying around (probably around 100). I too aim to play, and complete, all my games. Started adding games November 2015, currently 51% unplayed and 22% completed games....

The problem is bigger than that -- my love/hate relationship with life in general is largely based on the fact that there is far more that I want to do than I could ever actually do in even 100 lifetimes (which is pretty much the inescapable result of the fact that our time here is finite, whereas there are essentially infinite ways to enjoyably spend that time since, even if you never repeated anything, there are new things all the time).

get on with inventing immortality already, science!
and find a way to skip sleeping while you're at it!
although, tbh, with how quickly new things are made every day, the only thing that might truly help with this issue would be able to stop time indefinitely while exploring what's available at the moment, or something like that

Well, since there is serious work being done that could give us at least some kind of immortality, I almost said that our time here is (probably) finite, but cosmic destruction of some kind is likely inevitable even in the best case scenario, so existential despair remains inescapable.

Sometimes I wish I had a button to stop time indefinitely. If somebody has an idea how to realised that, I'lll be the first backer!

I want to play all of the games I have, there's no doubt about it, but the problem is I don't know when and in what order.

I'll and I think the most important point is to spend more time in playing than in buying (or trading or looking for free games) Thanks for your comment!

I have too many. A few years ago (3?, 2?) when the output of games became HUGE! I just wasn't ready. I used to keep a wishlist and look for a great deal. $5 was my happy spot. I was so proud of my collection of $5 great games. But then the bundles and the deals started pouring in. And then trading cards. And I lost sight of only buying what I want to play. I have over 600 games but I would guess 250 of them are shit that I bought in the last 36 months. i have cut way back on purchasing. And I giveaway more, too.

A good number of games I own are from purchasing a bundle for only one game. The rest I'll farm for cards and in turn use the cards to buy a good game. i think I have over time made $95 from cards. So, tons of junk farmed for cash that i bought good games with.

Yes, the bundles are the players's dead. Same Problem here...

You should just start playing some of the games you bought rather than look at the library size. It is just a number!
