I only wish I could comment on giveaways and follow my created via notifications. Oh and maybe sort excluded alphabetically.

I am using the android steamgifts app and i am pretty satisfied with it. But i noticed while searching for a game with dots (".") in the name, the app crashes right away. Since quite some games uses special characters, this should be fixed. The app also crashes with various other chars like commata (","), chars like ? or # are ignored as it seems...

As MattyMatt stated, it would be awesome if the Excluded list could be sorted alphabetically. Currently it's a pain to try and find the things I want to remove from the list. - I still say SG should add the game excluding into the site itself.

Will there be an Windows phone 8 version?

i guess this is not being updated / closed ? I tried this on my phone today and when i click on "Sign-in through steam" i just get a white screen.

I've been loving this app multiple times a day for the last 3 or 4 months. I reviewed it on the store not long ago along with a few suggestions, but I'm not sure where they would be noticed best so I figured I would repost parts of it here:

Suggestions for improvement:

• Exclusion and Entered list sorted by name and time left respectively (please!);
• Bug: Removing a title from the exclusion list makes others also show up, making you have to exclude again and causes duplicate entries (the last time I did this I removed some games from my exclusion list, completely restarted my phone and it seemed to work properly, but just going back to the Current Giveaways list immediately causes a whole slew (if not all, I'm not entirely sure) of excluded games to show up again;
• Configurable auto-refresh option (!! - At least once every 20-30 minutes to catch the 1hr giveaways);
• Compact mode for less scrolling (I sometimes spend a good 5 minutes just trying to get to the bottom of the list);
• Status bar notifications (such as new giveaways with games on your wishlist, wins, finished created giveaway, maxed out points);
• Highlight wishlist items;
• Ability to comment & enter giveaway at same time;
• Optimize poll rate (doable? I swap between a 5MB wifi or 4G connection and it will sometimes take a good 15-45 seconds to load one page)

So, no options menu now. No refresh button. No ads but white rectangle. Last update is a total mess.

Great app. I did not know there was a thread for it.

I almost didn't update because of the ads (but thanks for being up front about the feature being added on Google Play, less honest devs just slip them in) but the faster giveaway entering and sorting the exclusion list way more than make up for it. Will you consider an ad-free version, though? I use AdAway so all I see is a white box, but I don't use it to cheat devs, I do it because I pay too much for my device and its service to deal with ads. I'm willing to pay a reasonable fee to get rid of them if the app is useful, and yours is.

Also, would you consider modernizing the menu? Current Android spec has it sliding out from the left. The way it is now is Gingerbread spec. I really don't mind, it just looks old. The rest of the app looks good.

Seriously, publish a copy without adds for I dunno, 1$, I'd buy it ._.

If you want to have the ad in there, it would be much better to have it in the bar that's already there. You have a massive bar at the top with a tiny SG logo, might as well put the ad in there instead of it taking up more space.

Any new update incoming? Still can't use the menu on my Nexus 10 with the latest version. So that and the ad really break the current release :(

Can someone upload old .apk-file? Current version still totally broken because of ads. Bottom menu not shown on nexus 7 and 10 and author not fixing it for months

If I had the time/willingness, I'd look into developing my own app, but I'd need access to SG's API docs...

weird but after the last update its not entering the giveaways. it always says that i couldnt enter the giveaway because of bla bla bla. It takes ages to load the new pages, or giveaway pages. I tried to reinstall etc. but didnt help.

I used it for a month, even won a giveaway. The point is perseverance and patience :P, if you don't have'em you'll fail using this app miserably because it is supaslow... but so is this site and here we are x)

Hi. Your app is totally awesome, but these days I cannot log in via Steam with your app. Any solutions for this?

This app makes you re-log into your steam account from time to time. Sometimes it asks for your account, or sometimes it just has the log in button to continue. Overall, this app is great when I need to spend some points when I am away from home. If some people don't know about this function, you can hold and press one of the giveaways for a menu to use your points to enter.

Shouldn't this thread be considered "necroing" at this point?
