Have added a few interesting entries to my wishlist this week, figured I would share:

Cloudpunk - https://store.steampowered.com/app/746850/Cloudpunk/

Your name is Rania. This is your first night working for Cloudpunk, the semi-legal delivery company based in the sprawling city of Nivalis. You go everywhere, from the Marrow below to the spires that pierce the grey clouds high above before scraping the edge of the troposphere. No delivery job is too dangerous, and no one is faster than a Cloudpunk driver.

Paws and Soul - https://store.steampowered.com/app/911510/Paws_and_Soul/

Paws and Soul is a third-person adventure game about rebirth, where you will visit a mysterious forest as a wolf. The story about a man that you’ll see with animal eyes is extended by fascinating gameplay focused on exploration and searching for collectibles. Look for clues about your past life, reveal bonus stories about other people and enjoy breathtaking views. You are completely safe here, so relax and let your curiosity run wild! Find out how the lives of the wolf and the human are connected and reveal the secret of reincarnation.

Moving Out - https://store.steampowered.com/app/996770/Moving_Out/

It’s orientation day at the Smooth Move company. To become certified Furniture Arrangement & Relocation Technician (F.A.R.T.), employees need to pop the training tape into the VCR and take in the dos and don’ts of moving furniture. Train alone or with friends in this action, puzzle, physics based moving simulator. Expect plot twists, irreverent humor, cameos and borderline trademark infringing scenarios as you complete the 50+ levels. With party mode you'll be able to compete for the highest score locally or against the community.

Any unique, upcoming games pique your interest recently? Tell us about them!

We. the revolution to play a french revolution judge faced with moral dilemmas and conflicts of interests. These days i tend to search more for cheering up games and this one will be quite pessimistic, but it sounds interesting, if I don't buy it i'll probably watch some youtuber play it.

Looks like an interesting title. Although I'm this close to thinking that that blocky lo-poly artstyle is beginning to be overdone these days, but it's still executed well enough here to be pleasing and effective.

Mineko's Night Market

A whimsical adventure/simulation game where you play as Mineko, a curious girl who has just arrived at her new home on a peculiar Japanese-inspired island overrun by cats. Discover the mysteries of the island while crafting crafts, friending friends, eating eats, and… catting cats.

Support some of my friends making games, please!

For those into adult stuff: (oh and there's plenty more where that came from - just shoot me a message on steamgifts/steam - don't wanna clog up this thread with smut...)

Plenty more adult titles I won't list... but are good as well. I mean no offense by adding these, but they're pretty awesome!

Enjoying these more... safe games too that are either upcoming, or very good underdogs:

  • Tower Hunter: Erza's Trial - Shit this game has potential! Very much like Dead Cells.. ;)

  • Area 4643 - has very good potential when it's out!

  • Snares of Ruin Zero - developer is great with RPGMaker! Writes well, and worth checking out Snares of Ruin and Pegasus-5

  • The Walking Vegetables - twin-stick roguelite that is quite fun!

  • Deliand - this was fun and cute!

  • Log Jammers - won't be out for a while, but worth a look if you like air hockey arcade action - :D

  • TSIOQUE - another cute little game with pretty graphics - fun P&C

  • Catmaze - nice adventure game with very subtle/light metroidvania elements that I enjoyed much.

  • EONIA I don't like adding EA games, but this one's worth a looksie.

Some kickstarters on the way (I hope... you know how those go...) but I won't mention those until they're further along!

Bump for dj!

Here's a good opportunity to give a shout out to Jupiter Hell

It's a proper roguelike, with an emphasis on ranged combat & big guns. It also has demons in a space base, 'cause that's when you get when you have the successor/sequel to DooM, The Roguelike.

Space Haven

Embark on a space journey with your patched-together crew of civilians in search of a new home. Build spaceships tile by tile, create optimal gas conditions, manage the needs and moods of their crew, encounter other space-faring groups, and explore the universe in this spaceship colony sim.

I like these types of games, sandbox-y and survival, like Rimworld. The isometric style reminds me so much of web game called Mush, and an android game called Star Command.
At least there are no elves here.

VirtuaVerse

"In a future not so far away, one Artificial Intelligence prevailed above all other AI’s and their governments. Society has migrated to a permanently integrated reality connected to a single neural network which continuously optimizes their experiences by processing personal data. Nathan, an outsider still refusing to comply to the new system, is making a living off the grid as a smuggler of modded hardware and cracked software. Geared up with his custom headset, he is among the few that can still switch AR off and see reality for what it is. He shares an apartment in the city with his girlfriend Jay, a talented AR graffiti writer whose drones have been bit-spraying techno-color all over the augmented space in the city. Waking up one day, Nathan finds Jay has disappeared overnight, breaking his custom headset and leaving a cryptic message on their bathroom mirror. Disconnected and determined to find out what happened to Jay, he finds himself tangled up in an unexpected journey involving Jay's hacker group and a guild of AR technomancers. Travelling around the world, he'll have to walk across hardware graveyards, deal with digital archeology, tribes of cryptoshamans, and virtual reality debauchery."

Looks and sounds amazing.

i'm super glad you bumped this thread because there some really interesting titles in here.

I came upon this one that was just released last week:

Photographs

The reviews are somewhat mixed, but I really enjoyed the developer's other games (10000000 & You Must Build A Boat) and I'm a sucker for short narrative games with high-quality pixelart and unique mechanics -- especially things that involve cameras/photography. I think owners of the devs previous games maybe also get a 33% coupon in addition to the 20% off launch sale.

.* Edit: I'm probably not going to use my 33% coupon before the April 11th expiration and it is giftable, so if anyone wants it just let me know.

Beast Agenda 2030 - Has strong Shadowrun vibes

Beast Agenda 2030 is a Stealth, Gadgets and Hacking focused RPG with optional permadeath that encourages you to use your brain to complete missions in procedurally generated city districts.

Onslaught: Armoured Assault

  • Has the unique idea of combining RTS and TD. Game's still really early access though. (Edit: The dev fixed the bug)

NEOVERSE

  • A lot of people are comparing this with Slay the Spire, so I'm guessing if you like the latter, then you'll enjoy the former :)

NITE Team 4 - A hacking sim that looks and feels amazing. Easy enough to get into for players with minimal coding skills and I believe it has the best tutorial around :)

NITE Team 4 is a military hacking simulation game that explores the world of cyberwarfare and features realistic mission scenarios.

Like Canis, I've just realized that the thread is for -upcoming- games and not games that are already released - only Onslaught fits the bill. That being said, these games are still pretty newly released and they are great so I'll just leave them as they are for now :P

Islanders

ISLANDERS is a minimalist strategy game about building cities on colorful islands.

Slapshot

Slapshot is an online multiplayer game where you and 5 other players play a game of hockey. The game is physics-based, so teamwork and crisp passing are essential to win.

A Plague Tale: Innocence

Follow the grim tale of young Amicia and her little brother Hugo, in a heartrending journey through the darkest hours of history.

EDIT: sorry, I see now that these don't quite fit the thread title, since only one is "upcoming." But the other two just came out in the past month, so I'm hoping that's close enough!

+1 for Islanders & A Plague Tale; nice picks.

Watched a video of A Plague's Tale few weeks ago, and now I just keep thinking of "rat physics" whenever it pops up lol. I'd be amazed too though like the guy. Video games have come a long way, making hordes of rat look like that.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a third-person open world survival game where you Explore, Expand, and Evolve to advance your clan to the next generation in this exhilarating new adventure from the creator of Assassin’s Creed.

The game looks and sounds awesome. Not sure who thought the title was a good idea, though.

EDIT: well, shit. Apparently it's an EPIC exclusive and won't be on Steam until 2020.

Space Company Simulator

Face the challenges of conquering space. Lead your company in the race for financial and technological dominance. Launch rockets, satellites, spaceships and orbital stations. Become the new major player in the space industry.

Space Company Simulator is the only simulator of its kind on the market. Inspired by games like Civilization IV and GameDev Tycoon, the gameplay genuinely reflects the challenges of space exploration in a way that no other computer game has done before.

Wowww. I'd wishlisted this right now if they had a page. The cinematics trailer has like a graphic novel art-style that I love.. The actual in-game graphics are nice too, like it works, if that makes sense. Also intrigued by the matureness of it all. And I hope the story & characters deliver too.

Thank you for bringing this over here.

Hehe, I've played Dollhouse's open beta (just two days ago in fact) and I really like the Bioshock-like vibes from the game. A quick tip... don't get too friendly with the bunch of creepy mannequins that follow you around. They are as sinister as they look! :P

If you want to try the game out, the publisher has just extended the open beta period to Apr 22nd so you've got a bit more time to do so :)
