I'm going through this whole thread again, finally made it to page 3. Many interesting games.
I'm not sure if we just have similar tastes or something but some of these I've already wishlisted (Boyfriend Dungeon, Summer In Mara, The Last Campfire, Moving Out), and you've just introduced me to Little Misfortune, Re:Legend, and Omno.
Added those three, thanks!

This is super late, but I think we have a lot of similar tastes in games! :D

Last Epoch combines time travel, exciting dungeon crawling, engrossing character customization and endless replayability to create an Action RPG for veterans and newcomers alike. (It's giving me that Grim Dawn vibes :) )

Since no-one else has mentioned it yet:
Indivisible- It's being made by Lab Zero, the guys that made Skullgirls, so that guarantees a lot of care is being put into it. People seem to be comparing it to Valkyrie Profile (I haven't played Valkyrie Profile so I can't confirm or deny any similarities). Here's some demo gameplay. :)

Adding 2 more amazing games :)
1. Neo Cab
Stay human in a world overcome by automation. Play as Lina, one of the last human driver-for-hire on the streets of Los Ojos. Your friend and only lifeline has gone missing; with no money and nowhere to stay, the only thing you can do is keep driving. Choose what passengers to pick up and how you engage with them to learn their stories.
I've just played its demo and wow! Mind blowing stuff! :)
Really like how it delves into the feels (emotion) and explores the importance of being/staying human in a futuristic world almost completely taken over by technology. Really makes you think about what's going to happen to our world considering how much more reliant people are becoming to tech. It's a bit like a visual novel though so expect lots of dialogues and lots of reading! Hopefully, they will add in some quality voice acting before they release the game.
Give it a shot if you've got the time: https://store.steampowered.com/app/794540/Neo_Cab/ :)
If not, here's a gameplay vid for the demo.
2. In Other Waters - nice pun btw :)
In Other Waters casts you as an AI operator, guiding a stranded xenobiologist as they explore and study a beautiful and strange alien ocean.
Besides the unique concept, I absolutely love how this game is so easy-to-grasp and intuitive. Despite the lack of a tutorial, I've managed to figure out how most things work within minutes. There are also lots of stuff for you to discover on the alien planet as you play and it's story-driven too - you'll eventually learn more about the xenobiologist that you're guiding.
You can try demo as well if you got the time: https://store.steampowered.com/app/890720/In_Other_Waters/
If not, here's a gameplay vid for the demo.

Afterlight is a puzzle-adventure game with environmental narrative in 2.5D. You play as Xin, an astronaut trapped on a mission on Titan. After an accident, in which the rest of the crew does not survive, will be forced to solve the mission in solitary discovering in the process disturbing events that will question their perception of reality.
At first I thought that this is a new game by the developers, Playdead or Tarsier Studios. But nope! Though the devs do say it's inspired by Journey and Inside, and yeah, can definitely see those influences with the pretty colors Journey has and the 2.D linear, with a side-view point Inside possesses.
I'm already really interested in this. The graphics and the way the character moves is already a 👍🏻from me. I read their Kickstarter page too and it's really well presented with images & information. Here's some gifs they posted:
Anyone else looking forward to this? Or how do you feel/think about games like with this style, etc?

I have a HUGE list because I have awfully unspecific tastes, get insecure in relying on my wishlist as a filter for giveaways, and spend way too much time browsing the steam store--but I'll try only list the most unique ones and the ones that haven't already been mentioned here (which is a lot!).
LUNA The Shadow Dust is a fully hand-animated Point & Click puzzle adventure, brought to life through wordless storytelling, beautiful cinematics and a breathtaking original soundtrack. Inspired by the adventure games of old, LUNA The Shadow Dust is a moving tale of two playable companions drawn together.
I think a lot of the SG forum people would really like this one. :) The aesthetic and warm color palette sorta reminds me of the beautiful La Maison en Petits Cubes short film.
Haven
From the developers of Furi (what else needs to be said?)
Play as two lovers who escaped to a lost planet. The only thing that matters is to stay together.
Use your sword, shurikens and cat-reflexes to face this action platform adventure! In the role of a ninja cat, you'll have to surpass the Master's Challenge and test your skills to the limit. Can you prove yourself as a true ninja?
2D art looks really nice, looks like it has great bosses and you play as a NINJA CAT.
The core theme draws on the premise that horrors and fear can be achieved through embracing white and the absence of information, rather than darkness and the obvious, though unseen, enemy.
Cats Fly Helicopters
From the developers of Race The Sun.
Cats Fly Helicopters is about creatively completing jobs with your homebuilt helicopters in a quirky simulated city of cats. Upgrade your gear while you meet the needs of residents - but try not to make a mess along the way.
Looks to be full of personality, and I mean, it's cats flying helicopters.
Build your epic dwarven kingdom under the mountain! Manage hundreds of workers, build great halls and defend your kin from disasters and attacks.
Dwarf Fortress
A better looking iteration of the game Rim World and Prison Architect were inspired by/based around (it largely created the genre as we know it). Unique in the sheer scope and depth of it, it's comparable to nothing else and I mean it. Think how Rimworld would be if it started as an Ascii game in 2003, and had continuously active development till present. It may not be overly pretty, but it so makes up for it in content.
Build a fortress and try to help your dwarves survive, OR adventure as a single hero against a deeply generated world in this complex construction/management/roguelike simulation. Every generated world brings a unique challenge, whether it’s dwarves with their own simulated personalities or aquifers. Observe what makes your civilization fall into eventual decline, and learn for next time… until something else inevitably goes wrong. The combat model includes skills, body parts, material properties, aimed attacks, wrestling, pain, nausea, various poison effects, and much more. It’s difficult to convey the depth of the generation. Hundreds of animals and monsters, many of which are randomly created for each world, as well as generated poetry, musical forms, instruments, and dances for your dwarves to practice and perform. A dynamic weather model tracks wind, humidity, and air masses to create fronts, clouds, storms, and blizzards. Over two hundred rock and mineral types can appear, in their proper geological environments.
If this one interests you I recommend this review, it does a good job of giving you some sense of scope.
A hypnotic video game about music, geometry and flow .Feel like solving three-dimensional riddles to a frenetic electronic soundtrack? Let Vectronom inject its colorful madness into your life! It’s easy to get into the groove but can you stick to the beat?
Great execution of concept, that I don't RECALL ever having been done like this.

Dash and dodge bullet clusters in nerve wrecking slow motion moments. Challenge up to 4 players to awesome and fast paced arena battles, locally and/or online. When a player is in danger, time slows down and a time bubble is created around the player. Now there is enough time to react and try to dodge the deadly projectiles. These time bubbles generate exciting alternations between fast-paced movement and tension-filled slowmotion moments.
This one looks like a blast. I mean I don't really have friends to play these co-op stuff with, but if I DID though!
Dive into the heat of this fast-paced battle arena! Customize the path of each magical projectile, cast powerful spells and gain a tactical advantage to prevail over your rivals in the Grand Tournament!
Might not sound unique at first glance, but I think it is. The devs even wrote a blog post on the matter.
The anti-golf game for people who hate golf. A silly physics-based anti-golf game where you get to golf anything. Every golf course is a new surprising type of golf, some brilliant or hilarious, others so absurd they will make you go: WHAT THE GOLF?

THAT ART! And the animations!! Not usually my sorta thing romance stories, but they seem to have put a lot of passionate work into this. Also the song in that trailer is so good.

Synthwave-y!
Hunt down massive beasts and, upon destroying them, shapeshift into their forms in order to use their powers to save or destroy the world. Players with less violent intent can find secret paths to complete Mable without killing anything, including bosses. Unlike most Metroidvanias Mable does not allow you to run, jump and kill on your own. Instead, you must use non-human forms to attack creatures and traverse through difficult challenges. The strange cult that resurrected you speak of an ancient prophecy that says you will hunt down the great beasts, take their shape, and use their powers to save this dying world. But what if they're wrong? The prophecy is old, and words lose their meaning with time... When the world is falling apart around you, what will you do? In Mable & The Wood, it's up to you to make that choice. You don't have to kill anyone, but you might kill everyone. You can only maintain your non-human form for a limited time, but killing creatures extends your power.
A lot of very unique, interesting features and design choices with this one! Looks and sounds great in every way.
AFTERBURN
From the dev of Furious Angels
Your daily dose of air combat. Super easy to pick up, minimum requirements and vibrant visuals. Select your aircraft and jump into action! It is hard to find a flight sim where dogfights are as fun as watching a Su-35 doing a cobra or watching the movie Stealth. And that is what I'm trying to do with AFTERBURN: super quick arcade air combat. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.
Ashen is an action RPG about a wanderer in search of a place to call home. This is a world where nothing lasts, no matter how tightly you cling to it. At its core, Ashen is about forging relationships. Players can guide those they trust to their camp - together, you might just stand a chance.
Scarlet Scarf is a visual novel inspired by the legend of Plague Maiden. Dive into the dark mysteries of a dying city with the fate of Sanator Richard Murdock in your hands. Perhaps it's not too late to stop the on-going calamity...
The atmosphere/tone for this looks awesome, don't think I've ever played a dreary dark fantasy like this before.
UnderMine is an action-adventure roguelike with a bit of RPG tossed in. It blends traditional roguelikes like “The Binding of Isaac,” with progression based rogue-lites like “Rogue Legacy.” Mine gold on each run and increase the peasant’s power by finding powerful relics. Delve deeper, exploring each new area, discover its many secrets and ultimately defeat its powerful boss.
Maybe nothing new in concept, but the art makes up for that, and looks to have a lot of diverse gameplay/content.

Elden: Path of the Forgotten is a medieval RPG with roots in eldritch horror. Elden explores storytelling through non-traditional, indirect methods -- like reading an illustrated book in a language you don't understand. Visually inspired by classic 16 and 8 bit games, Elden: Path of the Forgotten is a stunning, encapsulating, dark world waiting to be explored.

Follow the fear of Benedek Dohnany and Nikolay Kalyakin and take your first step into a dark journey of change and faith. Switch between playable characters and different realities in the events that lead to a macabre series of murders, allegedly related to devil worship and witchcraft.
You're Rocco Galliano, the existentially troubled manager of a struggling football team. Train players, choose your own narrative, survive the drama, and play turn-based football matches via tactical cards and hard choices. Chances that you can make it through a full season are slim. Corruption, crime, drugs and romance are all paths that you may take - for better or worse.
This one is super unique, so much so that I'm not quite sure what to make of it yet.
Noita is a magical action roguelite set in a world where every pixel is physically simulated. Fight, explore, melt, burn, freeze and evaporate your way through the procedurally generated world using spells you've created yourself.
You defeated the Dark Wizard. The world of Solemn is finally at peace, but at what cost? You can't quite remember... The world has already been saved. Now it's time to rebuild your town along with the hearts of those around you.
Vambrace: Cold Soul is a roguelike fantasy-adventure set amidst a frozen landscape. Plan your expeditions underground, then journey to the cursed city surface with your team of heroes. Wield unique powers, avoid dangerous traps, brave strange encounters, and survive deadly combat!

Make challenging choices in a city fractured by inequality and intrigue, and shape different factions that are fighting for their livelihoods.
Roombo: First Blood is a comedic, top-down, stealth-action game about being a robot vacuum cleaner and fending off burglars that have broken into your home. A Samurai Punk Short.
I love the concept so much. Mostly just the cute murderous little robot.
Ostranauts
From the devs of Neo Scavenger.
Ostranauts is a detailed simulation of owning and living aboard a spaceship, in a solar system where honest living is a slow death sentence. Set in the NEO Scavenger universe, where Earth has suffered cataclysmic collapse, the rest of the System lives on in a state of capitalistic dystopia. Players will create their captain, build or customize their starting ship from the spoils of their career history, and find ways to keep their motley crew in line, fuel in their tanks, food on their plates, and the debt collectors at bay.
You only have 21 days until this living city dies. The clock is ticking. You can’t be everywhere at once. Decide what to explore, who to meet and see every decision shape the curious stories and terrible secrets of this branching narrative game. Every decision you make will shape your surroundings, and the city’s fate.
Another one I'm surprised no ones mentioned. The art looks LOVELY, concept seems great and it's a PnC.
Crown Trick
From the devs of Bladed Fury, Unheard, Iris Fall & Death Coming.
CrownTrick is a procedurally generated maze game with Roguelike gameplay and hand drawn art style. Take up the unbelievable crown and start your underground adventure with the power... In Fae Tactics, follow a young magic user named Peony on her journey across a vibrant world full of mystery and danger. Summon allies, cast spells, and befriend a motley crew of characters as you dive into the growing conflicts between man and magical beings known as fae.
So much gorgeous pixel art.
Foregone is a challenging combat-focused action-platformer inspired by the likes of Diablo and Dark Souls. Take control of a powerful Arbiter as you shoot, slash, and stab your way through hordes of corrupted creatures. Slay your enemies before they slay you, or you’ll be facing them all over again.
In Good Company you pursue your dream of being a hands-on tycoon. Start small in your garage, design unique high-tech goods and optimize production, logistics, and research, while you lead your enterprise to global success.
A lovely SCI-FI archaeological post-apocalyptic adventure. In the 50th century, the great humankind achievements, such as pyramids or Humphrey Bogart’s movies, were completely forgotten. Henry and his nerdy team of archaeologists have been working hard for years, on the ground, digging treasures with the extremely rare hallmark “Made in China” and watching weird Indiana Jones documentaries.
I really dig the art style for this one, and the comedy looks to be on point.
An open-world action adventure game set in a simulated world in which humans never reached the top of the food chain.
Gives me strong Breath of the Wild vibes.
ScourgeBringer is a fast-paced free-moving roguelite platformer. Help Kyhra to explore the unknown and to slash her way through the ancient machines guarding the seal of her past, and maybe the redemption of humanity.
Sick art, colors and music. I'm really loving ALL of these fast-paced, loud indie Samurai/sword-fighting games :D

Stranded Sails is an open world exploration farming adventure full of discoveries and quests! Along with your crew you are ship-wrecked on a mysterious archipelago. Now it's up to you to secure your survival and solve the mysteries deep in the heart of the islands –and finally escape.
Trans-Siberian Railway Simulator
Get behind the wheels of classic Russian locomotives and check if the wild animals, bad people, severe frosts and constantly changing weather are able to stop you. Try to survive in the longest railway line in the world!
Deceiving title... And so Russian lmao. Looks like a fresh take on the survival genre.
We are the Plague is a tactical, turn-based game, set in a hand-drawn dark fantasy world. Join the mysterious Plague and seek your revenge. Customize your character, traverse the devastated land with a team or alone, and fight against the humanity.
Atomic Heart is an adventure first-person shooter, events of which unfold in an alternative universe, during the high noon of the Soviet Union. The main character of the game is a special agent, who was sent to a highly secret object by the Soviet government after it went radio silent.
The quality of the graphics and depth of gameplay look way too great for such an unheard, self-published studio.
With its falconry-inspired gameplay & procedurally generated worlds, Eagle Island is set to a beautifully modernized pixel art aesthetic and provides a breath of fresh air to the character platforming genre. Eagle Island can be played in either Story, Roguelite or Speedrun mode.

Yet another super unique and charming looking game Humble Bundle is publishing.
Shakedown: Hawaii
From the devs of Retro City Rampage

Dunno about the music but the art looks so great.

This trend of making normally ugly and unsuspecting things adorable... I back it.
Genies! Goblins! Crazy weapons! Explore sinister dungeons alone, or online with friends! Figure out the mystery of the ancient lamp in a huge and detailed generated world, grab as many guns and weird magic weapons as you can, and run!
NOW CUTE GOBLINS
The desolate moon of Lorian V is a place of curiosity, history, and terror. Awaken on the surface from a long slumber and explore the winding caverns below to uncover secrets, acquire new abilities and face powerful foes. Meet the sleepy inhabitants of Lorian V and hear their tragic stories.
This one caught my eye because of the atmosphere the trailer gave off, the mystery, and the fact that it's being published by Adult Swim Games--who seem to love unique shit.
A real-time 4x strategy in a fantasy world. Customize your Adam and Eve, go head-to-head with other races while conducting diplomacy, waging war, and advancing The First Men.
The design for this looks really unique, and it seems like they're using the fantasy genre well.

In this truly unique, story driven, action-puzzler, you'll dive head first into both sides of Ray's exciting journey. You'll experience Ray's life before death as a human, as well as his present-day life as a zombie, commanding his own army horde!
Another published by Adult Swim!
Tech Corp. is a game where you try to become the biggest tech company in the world . Your goal is to become the next big shot in the tech industry. The game also takes place through history. Starting in the early 90's and going to present time.
Jet Lancer is a frenetic aerial dog-fighting game where you hunt enemy pilots, carve up giant robots, and defy death at supersonic speeds as a daring mercenary in the far future.
The actual gameplay for this one looks SICK. Looks to be a really cool take on Bullet Hell.
Wreak your path of vengeance in a world torn by the conflict between the Old Gods and a new Techno Order. Every move you make in Warlander’s combat has consequences and simulates a feeling of close-quarters fighting, rewarding strikes aimed at exposed flesh and punishing thoughtless attacks.
aaand that's it. There's so many godamn interesting games... It's no surprise the industry is so saturated, could you imagine how hard it must be to stand out amongst all these (and all the others that were posted as well)?

I've been following the development of a indie game that DeltaBladeX promoted back on a thread 3 years ago for the past 3 years. Tbh i'm pretty excited for the game to come out this summer! I've talked to the developers a few times in the past and they're pretty chill and they're really good about putting updates about what's going on and communicating with their followers.
Sneaky Ninja is the stealth game Nintendo would make; it's a 2D stealth platformer mix of Mario and Mark of the Ninja, combining lighthearted platforming with tactical stealth action and a wide range of difficulty modes for a game both casual and hardcore can enjoy!
Also the screenshots on the storefront are beta images. The game looks a bit different now, here's some screenshots of what the game looks like now.

Let share with you in this thread the last addition to my wishlist.
Blasphemous is a punishing action-platformer that combines the fast-paced, skilled combat of a hack-n-slash game with a deep and evocative narrative core, delivered through exploration of a huge universe comprised of non-linear levels.

I'm not sure how 'unknown' it is, but Hell Let Loose looks very good. I was watching a closed beta stream this weekend.
I'm a sucker for WW2 FPS.

Just found out yesterday that SteamWorld Dig has a story-driven adventure/card game spin-off that's poised to be released on the 31st (of May) called SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech.
Aside from looking and feeling good, the game retains its quirky humour (expect lame, facepalm-type jokes... which I absolutely adore :P) from before. However, personally, I find the game rather easy to play even in its "Normal" mode. Maybe it's because I'm currently at Chapter 2... and am still going through its earlier content. Anyway, here's a gameplay vid if you're interested :)
