Full-price? Of course, you'd be stupid not to.

I'd say very few people buy very much at full-price on Steam. For example:
According to Enhanced Steam, I've spent £122.49 on the Store. Add on, let's say, £100 for Amazon/GMG/bundles and it comes to £222.49. Using one of those calculators, the full-price value of my account is £2186.92 - around 10x what I paid. To turn down ~£2000 profit would be what I consider pretty stupid.

Edit: Of course, it's different for every case. But like I said, generally I don't think many people (on here, at least) buy lots of games at full-price.

And then wait for another bundles, another discounts and so on of all those games. AGAIN. Almost all games I have on Steam I bought from discounts or bundles. It took years. I wouldn't want to go through that again, willingly.

I've done the same but I could probably rebuy the ones I thoroughly enjoy at full price and either write off the ones I don't like as much or wait for those to go on sale again. I could easily still make a profit that way

nowadays it takes just one Winter/Summer sales and you can have all the games you ever bought for cheap again. It would be profitable..

You couldn't be more wrong. I have 1/3 of my Steam games from different bundles. Those will never go in sale again so fast. Not to mention not every game gets discounted the same druging sales. Plus I have many games from other digital stores like Amazon or GMG. Steam sales suck nowadays compared to those stores.

But you would still make profit. If you get the full prices of the games. and then there would be winter/summer sales, you make profit.. understand?

I guess but it'd take a lot, and I mean, a lot of buying. I wouldn't do that.

hustlavo, for how much money your account is worth, you could take the refund, and go buy a ranch on the coast of the ocean and live peacefully for the rest of your days lmao, thats a huge profit for sure

Even those that did buy them at full price could probably end up with profit by selling their Steam library and rebuying games at their current price. Games tend to decrease in value over time

yes, because most of my games are from trades or sales, so if I get the full price of them - I'll just buy the games again, and have some spare money.

Considering I payed a fraction of what it really is, yes.
If anything I'll just keep the saves from steam cloud.

That's an important detail. A full steamcloud copy, saves and screenies. But to be realistic you probably had to download the games and manually copy saves from the local folders. Uh oh, and achievents??

Yes, mostly because I like physical copies of games over digital ones. Some of the retail games can be activated on Steam so..

Almost all of my games are either bundle games, games bought on sales, or from boxed copies that I've picked up for considerably less than what the games would usually cost, I would say absolutely. I would be stupid not to.
