Cool giveaway though. I've been interested in playing it but since some people said it wasn't that good I decided that it wasn't worth spending money on. I guess I was right in that decision (and now I'll get to see for myself if it's good or not).

Call yourself lucky you're not playing GTA Online then. There might be other songs but it feels like it's the only song that's perpetually playing in the Diamond Casino when you go there to take your daily spin on the lucky wheel.

It's a command for Archie's Steam Farm (ASF) an Idling program that lets you get the Trading Cards without having to download the game. It's like IdleMaster.
If you're not already using ASF you're better off activating the game the old fashioned way via Steam Store because it's pretty complicated to set up, especially if you wanna use the advanced features 😉

Go to "Account Details" on Steam, "View Product Code Licenses and Activations"
Search for the game Tell me why click to remove the license for the first episode.
Now just go to the game page again and redeem the full game.

Useful as that quote is to have in this thread, it still leaves a bit unanswered as far as "why is this", since Life is Strange and its prequel were also LGBT+ typed. Though I suppose that means we can probably have some fun wordplay with "Tell Me Why" now. :P

Since it's hard to determine the "why" of it without direct insight into their team's motivations, best I can offer is the hypothesis that they didn't want to put LiS and its prequel up for free due to not wanting to distract from their recent remaster and, further, DontNod may have also felt that the more modern design framework used in Tell Me Why would make for a better presentation. As far as the more general "why", I'd assume the freebie was to better develop interest in their future projects, especially given how many they're planning on releasing in the (likely) near future.

I figured it would be sorta kinda marketing (nothing wrong with that at all), but for me the "why" is answered sufficiently by "it's Pride Month and this game is LGBTQ+ themed" - it completely escaped my attention that 2021 is already halfway done (how? it's been both 20 years and 20 seconds all at once)

I feel you, as someone who's from Slovakia (not Slovenia, definitely not CzechoSlovakia) - but you obviously have it worse when games get disabled for purchase in your country because they mistake you for Russia (?)

I am that old that even remember when Czechoslovakia was one country. I really do not know all issues if they was, but from my point of view (from country that was part of USSR), i was always amazed how country can split and people continued to live friendly, and quickly recovers finansially.
