Does it have multiplayer? VAC-protected maybe?
I think the only way to "store" a VAC-protected game for gifting later is to send an email to yourself and give the link to the winner later.

you can send it by email to yourself and then it should sit in your inventory as a gift and you should be able to manage that gift by clicking on it in your inventory and selecting manage gift and then put the email of the winner in
