If you're like me and usually waste some time on opening links for games that I already claimed 2 hours ago or 5 days ago – I wrote a small userscript for Greasemonkey that makes all links on Steamgifts that you have already visited red instead of blue. It's just one line of CSS, but it's extremely helpful... I just found 7 games in the list that I didn't claim before as well. Message me if you want it.

I doubt that I failed to claim some of these items (that would be embarrasing when I'm the one making sure if they are claimable or not). But anything can happen when I'm sleepy.
Usually, I check the Itch 'Browser>Games' tab for sales and open the sale page ('itch.io/s') for each -100% that doesn't appear in my Excel. Then I check if I claimed them and classify them as New, Repost, etc. This method helps me to check which sales are new and which are again on sale, but requires a lot of time. Finally I manually write each item on sale with a markdown style for this thread.
Also, I need to open each item link to add them to the Collection. Usually I'm doing a triple check: Collection, Excel File and History.

It's mostly for us claimers, not you :) The problem with my solution is that if a game goes from "Download only" to "claimable", and I already visited that itch.io page, it will show up as "Visited". His devlog has a file attached, but you can't download that. I think because the page doesn't have a file, you can't claim nothing.

Downside, some developers reuse their sale pages (maybe 5 or 6 of my database). How I know? Experience with copy&pasting (I gave up doing that because I have a script for comment formatting). I only need the sale pages link and everything will be okay... My next step was to do something similar, but I didn't think about checking the 'itch.io/s/xxxxxx'.
Someday my code will work as I wanted it to be.
My database are one TXT file and Excel file, manually input :D They will die if the code works

Thats a nice idea! Sadly I didn't reserve it. So it would be the third comment... And I won't have a second child to feed. That would be too much work >_> (but I had the idea to create a closed thread where I sort the sales by starting date and no ending date, so you will see the most recent one, but I don't know if you can update a closed thread. Second problem would be if mod allow to necro that closed thread)

That's good! I'll ask support if this would be allowed and create a clon of this thread to have them sorted by 'when it was hunted down'. As for the problem right now of character limit... but, OP is working over a year with his personal system of dealing with these deals, and when I (or someone else) post upcoming deal, he writing it down, and when the deal is started, it will appear in changelog (and probably as a comment from OP)

Wvat: This will be the last update and I'm bad with farewells. It was fun managing this thread.
Recently I got my degree at university, so I simply don't have the time to take up on this as a hobby. I need to focus on getting a new job, sadly.
I won't close the thread for the time being so you can still post new findings, but I really hope another user will take over.
And I advice to not copy my format unless you have a really good script, it takes a lot of hours to update this thread when you get a lot of sales in Christmas, Valentine, Easter Egg, Summer, Halloween, Black Friday, etc. I recommend to make it simple ;)
