Puzzle 1 - It's the full name ..
Puzzle 2 - Ok, ok.. his other 'Main Character' creation (different comic) kinda looks like him.

(Not sure that can help anyone who didn't know before anyway, but I don't wanna spoil it for those who already got it right)

Puzzle 1
it's Scud the Disposable Assassin from his own Comic Book from the 90s, created by Rob Schrab (helped by Dan Harmon on scripts)
Puzzle 2
The character is Grendel Prime from the Grendel War Child series (Dark Horse) by author and creator Matt Wagner (yes that was before Spawn)

Not only have I never heard of Scud, I've also never heard of Fireman Press, it's publisher. guess that means I'm not a comic book nerd after all.
