As someone born Dutch, I haven't been following Euro at all since they FAILED TO BLOODY QUALIFY...

The Dutch are always a strong team and usually a contender, I'm still surprised by that.

They usually have more than their fair share of talented individuals but the concept of "team" is foreign to them.

Well you lost to Iceland in the qualification. So Holland achieved about as much England. Just earlier. ;)

Yeah, that was really bad, especially seeing as it was easier to qualify this time with the increased number of teams.

We lost to a team who's players play in our 3rd and 4th tier. One of their best players can't get in the Cardiff side.

Shocking, we've embarrassed ourselves.

is it true that young English people wish to stay in EU and the result for brexit was mostly old people? cause older people will have to live with the decision lesser even tho only time will tell if its for the best or the worst. What do you think about it?

I'd like to point out that more of the older generation also bothered to vote - a lesson for the younger generation maybe? Don't get me wrong I belong to that older generation and I voted to remain .. Maybe I feel let down by the younger generation ..

The problem is that young people indeed learn that lesson. They become old and vote and the next generations repeat their mistakes and that learning process. ;)

I feel like EU is failing cause of the euro, not all countries are strong enough to handle it ,england has stronger currency anyway, we say we are a union but truth is we dont act this way. In my opionion unless we become something like USA all these brexit , grexit wont matter in a few years cause EU will collapse. For smaller countries they fear a brexit cause atm the 2 big heads are germany and England if one is gone that wont be good
The people who didnt vote its like they voted i dont care let the others decide for me voting is the one thing people have left but i do need to point out that if a brexit will happen and if it would be bad for the years to come (it cant be forever) its a strong lesson maybe too strong

I'd like to add to what the others have said with, I hold no animosity towards the older generation. This is what democracy is, we held a vote for everyone, we came to a decision, its fair enough the majority wanted this.

Also, certain portions have earned the right to make an odd choice after kinda winning a War in Europe which is the only reason the younger generation exists.

I always think that a referendum should be decided when at least half of the population votes for it. Now with around 70% of the population attended the referendum, and only 52% of them voted "leave", doesn't it make about only 36% of the population?

It makes it around 36% of the population able to vote ..

I think it's all Loki fault. Or you can call him Hveðrungr... he made a stupid joke.
It will all have bad effects. Nationalist leaders in both Scotland and Northern Ireland ponder independence referendums following Brexit. If they do really leave UK, the monarchy system will be badly affected. Many companies will leave England. I have already heard about few Japanese companies that will move out of England.

Haha, thanks for sharing. I wonder which countries might represent further characters from Seinfeld, in that scenario.
France as Kramer, not even noticing what happened, and Germany as Elaine, pretending that indeed nothing happened?

i'm kind of glad you did it, now the other members will see what it means to leave the union.
the second biggest economy of the union leaves and will have to suffer dire consequences.
but without EU fire regulations you can at least burn flags now.
