I don't recall seeing this thread around here and I think it's a pretty cool one. You can either recommend someone a game or advise someone not to waste one's time on it. I'll start.

Mark Of The Ninja - A very good stealth-action game. It's like Splinter Cell but in 2D. Although I admit there were times when I was a little bit bored. Overall it's a very good game. Solid 8/10.

Edit:

Here's a collage of all games I've beaten over the years on PC:

Last game I was finished was The Walking Dead. Which I finally wrapped up last night. I hadn't played it for about a month. Glad it's finally out of the way. I thought it was decent but not as extraordinary as soon think.

Zeno Clash - Probably the weirdest game I've ever played. I liked the world and degsign of all characters present in the game (nice variety and ideas). Music was also nice. The gameplay and the fighting mechanics could have been better though. It's also very linear and short. It wasn't bad though, I guess I enjoyed it. 6/10

I bought DLC Quest when it was on sale yesterday. Beat it. Short game, but it was humorous. I liked the first part more than the "expansion".

Defender's Quest: Valley of the Forgotten

I picked this up because it was a steam cards game and it was on sale for really, really cheap. I figured I'd play it for like 30 minutes, get my cards, and be out.

Long story short, I now have 24 hours logged in the game and I only bought it like 5 days ago. It might literally be the best tower defense game I have ever played. It's like they made a hybrid of tower defense and RPG and it goes together amazingly. And it's rather long and has a lot of replay value. Plus you can mod pretty much anything in the game and even upload your mods to the steam workshop for others to play (although it doesn't seem like anyone has yet, there's only 2 mods there and 1 of them was posted by the developer). I think the workshop functionality was just added because on the store ad it says "now with steam workshop" at the bottom.

If you like tower defense games, you should definitely pick this one up. It's on sale now for $5 but it probably won't be for much longer.

Hotline Miami ! Holy shit that game was so good that I cannot stop playing it until I reached the last level. I am too lazy to get A+ on all levels, but it sure as hell a lot of fun !!!! rushing the enemy with baseball bats and pipes, and the crushing sound you make when you hit them in the head, that's priceless. get it now !!!!

Getting A+ would be fun if it actually made sense. I go through all levels melee style 10+ and 15+ combos and on most I got A+ but on like 5 I can't do it no matter how fast and effective I do it. This system doesn't make sense to me.

No idea how to quantify 'beat' but the last game I 100%'ed was L.A. Noire. Took a couple of hours to get into it but after that I loved it through to the end.

Mine would have to be Metro: Last Light, I enjoyed however it didn't really bring much new to the table, it was very similar to 2033, which is definitely not a bad thing. I would recommend it(especially if you enjoyed 2033) but its more of an improvement than an innovation.

Sherlock Holmes: The Mystery Of The Mummy - Time to start my adventure with Sherlock Holmes! This is the first game from the series. It's pretty old and it's very outdated actually. FPP adventure game is just a "no no" nowadays. Some objects can be very easily missed, cutscenes are ugly and difficulty is unbalanced (some puzzles are very easy and some are insanely hard). But the vibe is very nice plus Sherlock's voice acting is good and the plot is quite interesting. However, I have a feeling this game is only for the adventure game veterans. 6/10
