Useful?
Not everyone gives away games they dont want, i've given plenty of games that were/are on my wishlist simply because i wanted to make someone happy with it, hell... i tend to buy more games from my wishlist to give away than to keep for myself ><

I want 2 of the last 4 games I've given away. 3 of the 4 below apply to me
1) some people are kind enough to give away games they actually want
2) some people "ask the audience" what to give away next
3) sometimes people give away a game without realizing it's on their wishlist I did that when I bought a humble bundle for 2 specific games, and traded or gave the rest away.... only to realize that one was on my wishlist
4) sometimes people change their minds, or learn more about a game, and become interested

Nice, a helpful comment! :D
I really didn't see the icons before. Thank you. :3

That's why I wrote
...often...
And if I give away a game from my wishlist, I can also buy it for myself. And don't need to steal chances from people, who really want this game and maybe do not have the money to just buy it.
That's my point. ;)

Just discovered this feature thanks to another user. :D

But either the site hides these by default or it doesn't. Most people are saying they don't want them hidden by default. As Kletar pointed out, we all have the option to hide GAs for whatever games we like. Using that feature seems like the best way to address this rather than introducing a default a lot of people will dislike.

Okay, you're right. :D
Leech on, fellow people! /o/

So you tell me, that I can enter giveaways and maybe even win games, which I gave away before, without feeling kind of... guilty.
No one will rant about me for "winning a game, I didn't want half a year ago"?

Well, I've already seen people like this on here, but the majority of steamgifters are actually pretty nice to each other. :D

we often don't want these games, which we're giving away.
Speak for yourself ;)
Often when I give away a game that I want it's because I don't feel that I would play it anytime soon. Give it a month or so and that might change. Or it might make thematic sense (I often group my giveaways by theme, when I'm not just dumping old bundle games).

Well that is only helpful for people that don't give away games from their own wishlist, but I often want to give friends the opportunity to play something first even though I want that game for myself as well ;) Just use the hide feature for games you don't want.

I mean... we often don't want these games, which we're giving away. And if we wanted them, why did we gave them away then?
Anyways... see these so often. Would like to hide them somehow.
GA
Update: Thanks to Kletar I discovered the "hide" feature next to each giveaway. :D
