I realized I didn't make a public giveaway for a while so I decided to use the Daily Deal to create two or four depending how you count. It seems most of the top contributors have stopped making public giveaways. They are now hiding in private clubs.

And I am screaming LET ME IN!
Just joking I am already in two of them (Private I mean).

So my question is "Why have you forsaken the PUBLIC sphere?".

Oh yeah JOIN this GROUP

Not all group giveaways or groups are good. I read a lot of people saying that more people thank in their groups than in public and that they are run by decent admins. I wish I was in a group like that. I'm part of a well-known and hated group where very few people post quality games. I've been defending them publicly and to change that trend, I even bought a $40 game for my group -- even though I'm not an admin or anything, just someone who wants to see the group flourish. Well, anyway, the group in question created a "gold version group" for "special giveaways" for quality members. When I created my giveaway (which finishes in two days) I didn't even know about it. The admin doesn't trust me to let me in yet... but he trusted someone with a total of a $6 giveaway (a Humble Bundle pack which means the person probably paid less than $6) on the main group to allow in this "exclusive group"! I'm not the only one: I went through the group archives and there are about 20+ people who have created large giveaways ($20 giveaways and beyond) and none of them have been invited either.

This is a potential problem for most groups, even ones with very clear definitive criteria can sometimes come down to politics (who is friends with who, etc)
