Context: I had about 100 something hours in GTA V on egs but after a while I decided not to bother with it anymore and got a new copy in Steam. It was quite a shock to see that I was able to run it with higher settings AND get higher fps

Can someone confirm this or am I just tripping and there is no difference? Thanks

EGS seems to bog down my machine quite a bit.

Have you tried running while Steam is closed?

Not sure if I have but I don’t think steam running in background could make such a difference. And well I’ve heard a ton of bad feedback about egs before but never really experienced it myself until I had a way to compare the two

Epic client and GoG Galaxy makes my older comp flip out. Memory and Cpu goes nuts. Audible change in fanspeed even, just from running an "idle" client.

Trippy indeed.

Edit: please consider removing that shitface avatar. (Thanks) 👍

Yeah the fans go wild for me as well even in smaller games like rocket league. Well that’s a pity because I built quite a collection from their free giveaways
