My pattern is that I don't win anything for a month, and then I win 2-3 in a week. It's weird. Now I'm either going to win something very soon or it's going to wait until July. Hoping for July actually, it makes it a bit easier to keep up with playing my games.
I always get a bit spooked when I get the popup and I haven't seen the mail yet. One of my last few wins, I was online and writing something in the forums and when I clicked submit I was greeted by the popup cat. But it's always a pleasant spook though.

There is a group or something for people with < wins you might be able to join, i dunno i haven't qualified for it for a long time. Also if you are active, nice, gift enough back, people might whitelist you and thus also increase your chances.

That would depend on the person you are asking, i'd say count/count.
It's tricky because you can scum to get games really cheap, some do, but if it comes from a bundle how to define a "price" on that, some are just trying it the honest way atleast.

Also, would be nice if there was a nice button or something to decline/return a game. Sometimes you realise you already own a game or got it while waiting for a 2week old giveaway you forgot about to complete. Current method is to contact owner somehow then asking to log re-roll ticket then you end up getting blocked/blacklisted by giver just because you were trying to be nice like this fella did to me in https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/QslKY/unloved when I cared and asked reroll so another user can benefit, sucks.
So now we just accept even if you have the game in duplicate just to avoid being a hassle for anyone. oh well.

I rarely enter GA's of games I dont know. Its mostly only the ones I know I will play.. Got some games at the beginning when I was just enthusiastic getting anything, but then I realized theres no point in getting something just for the sake of +1..
You can search discussions for group recruitments.. They usually have some rules (hosting at least one giveaway a month, playing your giveaway in a month and similar). Takes more dedication then just winning public GA's but a lot of my favorite wins do come from groups. Playing appreciated is a cool group, there should be a discussions for it.

Congrats on your first few wins. And if I may impart a bit of advice, while winning feels great, I do wish I was more judicious with my entries when I first joined. Now, I don't enter for anything I'm not excited to play - I may win less often, but each win is so much more memorably since it's a game I'm genuinely excited for.

I just recently hit the "Neither lucky/unlucky" status thing last week, though now I'm back to being "overall unlucky" again, haha. I do love that cat, though, and sometimes I'm a little saddened when people change out that cat (though obviously you can never be too sad when winning a new game).
Used to be part of 2hu giveaway group which was where lots of my favorite wins came from, now I mostly just hop on and join public ones for games I really hope to play since I don't really have money, haha. (Although sometimes I still enter ones I'm not AS excited for, because I still love Anime girls even though I don't actually get that into VNs, and those wins are kinda bittersweet, because someone else probably would have been much more excited if they won it).
