I don't mind owning shitty games (obviously :P) and I feel this is going to be a 'Tale of Tales' sort of game. One where it is kinda boring and bad game, but interesting enough since it explores new aspects of video game design. From a player stand point, they are not worth it but if you are interested in learning about gameplay, then it is a different case.

Yes, that's a great way to put it. As someone interested in game development I play through so many overall terrible games but almost always get something out of it in terms of interesting ideas in game design or insight in how something could be improved or done differently.

I'm quite interested in games that try new things, and am also a supporter of more open attitudes towards sexuality and eroticism. It's always been strange to me that digital graphic violence is so openly accepted in gaming but that digital graphic sexuality is not, but it's just one of those cultural/societal things I guess which are so deeply rooted that they are ingrained in present-day legal regulations that further reinforce the stigma.
Seduce Me is not a great game in terms of gameplay or writing, but I do give it points for originality. It's interesting enough in execution that I think it's worth $1 for a couple hours of playthrough if one is interested enough in the concept. The artwork is fairly decent and it's presented in a kind of comic book style. There are some explicit scenes, so be forewarned if that's not your cup of tea.

Also it wasn't that well made and didn't run very well.

I believe it was a censorship issue. Most countries have very strong regulations with respect to distribution of sexually explicit material, and I think that Valve doesn't want to go through the legal hassle required to have explicit materials distributed on their service -- especially when there is such a strong societal stigma attached to it. The devs probably weren't interested in censoring their game in the way that other devs have done with their sexually explicit games on Steam (Huniepop, erotic VNs, etc), so then no distribution on Steam.
BTW, if you are interested in a game and it's not on Steam, I highly encourage you to still try it out. Obviously if you have no interest in a game there's no reason to purchase it, but why restrict yourself to playing games only available on Steam?

Because I know I wouldn't even play it anyway. Not because I wouldn't want to but because I'd forget I even had it. Been buying bundles since they first appeared, by now I have thousands of DRM free games and I don't even remember all Steam games I have. Plus I have like 500 games that I want to finish on Steam alone lol.

I have something like 2000 games in my collection that are not on Steam (some aren't even PC games), most of which I have interest in some day trying. This is why I use a homerolled database to organize and sort my games -- it's super flexible and makes it a lot easier to categorize, find, filter, and keep things sane.

Yeah, sure. I bought Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4 cause I knew there was a very small chance they would come to Steam, for example. I also have tons of retail games on cd's and dvd's from before the Steam was introduced. But at this point I just prefer to have all of the games in one place and Steam is perfect for that. Besides, 99% of games I want to play is released on Steam anyway so :)

The game itself is pretty horrible from a gameplay / writing perspective, but the visual design was actually not bad. I don't think most of the people who wrote those reviews played long enough to get to the explicit stuff. Me? I'm a masochist when it comes to doing gameplay research ;-)

Thank you for the links to those, I think the venturebeat review probably is closer to what most people will feel when playing it. The ibtimes articles is nicely written, but despite all the great intentions of the two developers the game itself falls a bit flat from their vision. It is, however, interesting to see the developer's take and where they wanted to go with it, what their aims were.

Might use a groupees coin for this. Got a soft taco coin @ $4.45. Everything else is much higher.
I know that when you pay by coin you don't get any change etc. Anyone know what happens with the devs/publishers? I'd assume they still get paid. Now would there be a difference in how much they got if I used the soft taco coin and clicked the $3.60 box (minimum for everything), or if I selected a custom amount of $4.45 but still used the same coin. It's not a big deal anything, just something that popped into my head and I can obviously just select the full value of the coin if it might make a difference and if I cared to. Still, I'm curious. Anyone know what happens there?

Finally, I bought the full bundle because I want to play Galaxy Cannon Rider(wishlist) now and it is too hard to decide which game to choose.

Yeah, it's obvious they are trying to experiment with pricing and seeing what they can get away with, like the $4 for that last Be Mine.
I think they felt it was safe not to have a pre-order with this because all the games are previously unbundled and have good ratings, so there was less of a need to hide it's contents to get people to purchase. Most of the time, blind pre-orders are designed to get you to buy things blindly at a cheaper price, that you might not touch once you knew what they were, especially if the price is higher.

As long as they have a boss key they should be fine!
The boss key was something that was semi-common in DOS games. If you hit it, it would show a screen that looked like some form of productivity software, so if your boss entered the room when you were playing, you could just hit it
