Eh, having no power in the middle of winter would be worse.

Be grateful you still have electiricty or running water
Edit:
For context I once had to endure weeks without electricity.
Had to charge everything including phone, tablet and lamps & torches at a friends house so I wouldn't be in total darkness.
Also no hot water 🥶

I had a similar experience. Few days ago I registered after waking up that all smart home functions weren't available. Which was quite inconvenient, as the two hottest days of the heatwave came up. And without smart functions I couldn't use every available countermeasure to make the experience more endurable inside.

Long story short, after multiple telcom technicians working on it, they finally figured out that the problem was in distributor box down the road.
Positive: My internet connection now is more than twice as fast as previously.
Negative: We suffered during the two hottest days of the year, so far. And we could have had faster internet and no issues, if the telecom provider had already figured out the cause two years ago when we had similar issues. Instead they sent nobody to test it and simply decided that downgrading our internet connection was a great solution too.

There was a temporary blackout in my country, Spain of a few hours.

So the whole country just went out, talked to random people in the streets, read books, walked around, met with friends, went to a bars to chat, etc.

It was nice, actually.

My gf was in Portugal at the time, and they shared the blackout and I was like "how did you even make it home from the office??"
She said "what do you mean? I just drove home" lol
The Portuguese are so disciplined, people were stopping at red lights to let other cars cross. If it had happened in France, the whole country would be gridlocked for the entire time it lasted.

It was nice, actually.

She was at the office when it happened and was concerned for her client so she escorted them down the street and just went and had a walk on the beach, while waiting for the power to go back. Lots of people showed up with blanket, books, friends... yeah that's the life.
