I wouldn't worry too much about the blacklists either, people blacklist for a variety of reasons. I wouldn't let it effect you. Take it in stride and move on :)

Main way to show appreciation to people is to add them to your whitelist, I think (or just thank them I guess!). There is no rep system or anything like that. (There is one in the trades section, but you're only supposed to +rep people after successfully trading with them). Personally I just think it's a really nice feeling when someone makes a whitelist GA and I can enter it regardless of if I actually do (usually don't), and I think it's the same for most people here

No, everyone that joined said giveaway has an equal chance of winning it - contribution has nothing to do with it (other than level requirements and so on, but you've already grasped that concept). As for blacklists, uh.. dunno, did you try to give away a free game or something? Even if it was deleted, I guess some people might've bl'd you before it happened (Again, I don't know if you actually tried to do it or not, just assuming that might've been the case as I don't see any other red flag)

No, giving away stuff doesn't increase your chance of winning outside of giving access to level-restricted giveaways.

People can and will blacklist for any reason, including reasons that make no sense at all. Like jealousy because you won something on your first day here. Best not to worry about it too much.

Seems like i got blacklisted because i tried making a giveaway for a game code i got by entering another giveaway and also because i got lucky at my first day so that's 2 reasons LOL.

Giving away is purely optional and has no effect on chance, but GA creators can filter out people who have given away less than certain thresholds (levels) so you won't be able to enter those.

The amount of giveaways you made does not influence your chance at winning a public level 0 giveaway, no.
As you mentioned, being a higher level user means you can enter much more giveaways.
But being a regular gifter enables you to join groups where the chances are much higher due to much fewer entries.
People usually blacklist you if you broke the rules with a giveaway you made or even if they just disagree with something you commented on here.

You have the same chance of winning as everybody else who enters the same giveaway. By making giveaways you only improve your chances by gaining access to level restricted giveaways with fewer entries. Some people actually are generous or else the site wouldn't work very well. You will get blacklisted any time you do anything - but mostly it will be by trolls who never make giveaways so it isn't worth worrying about (unless you break the rules or otherwise muck people people about, in which case that can get out of hand).

No need to be sarcastic. It's not always as straight-forward as doing 3/1036. Sometimes you need to use C and P which can be quite confusing for someone who hasn't taken a probability class in a while.

Chances are equal for all users, but all giveaways don't offer same chances. You can use ESG http://steamcommunity.com/groups/extendedsg
So it will expose your winning odds of a given giveaway.

I'm new in here and i was wondering if giving away games gives you better chance at winning one and no i'm not talking about certain level required giveaways i'm talking about Normal public giveaways which anyone can enter.
I have seen some users with +3k$ giveaway ratio and just been wondering if they are ridiculously generous or is there's something they are getting in return for doing this?
