A fellow DDR2 man. :)
I would upgrade your mobo/ram/processor. Your gpu will be bottle necked otherwise.
On PSU: take a look at your amps. The amount of watts you can use is Amps x Volts. You want to look at the 12v rail. I would suggest 28+ amps with a 80% or greater efficiency.

yeah I was afraid that...
Then I guess I have 2 choices:
1) Leave it as is for now
2) Do a complete face lift to the entire system lol

Thanks for your suggestion.
I'm gonna change that i3 with an i5, even though there's a price difference I prefer to spend more on the cpu.

I jumped on one of the many great deals on Black Friday. I also upgraded from my old, overheating 8800gts 512 to this. I'm keeping my DDR2 for now.
I noticed you are from Greece though, so I'm not quite sure Newegg is even available for you. Is Amazon decently priced? TigerDirect? If it's available, I'd start looking there.

I was having problems due to overheating as well, especially during summertime :(
(I had to crank up the fans over 70% and that sounded like a vacuum cleaner...)
Anyway, that's an awesome price for your new card!!!
Only Amazon is available I'm afraid and local retailers (usually expensive).
These are the best prices I can get from Amazon.uk atm (free shipping!):
Amazon clicky

both your vid card and cpu are top tier (industrial) heaters.. i'd save up for a more complete overhaul. i'm using a 560 right now which is great. If you want a 660 or 670 (awesome) you'll need a new psu and will want to do an overhaul, but if you can't wait the 560 should be fairly cheap and should do fine on your psu.
also consider the 660 and 670 (which both support pci express 3.0) come with asscreed 3 in almost every single distribution and the 670 also would normally come with borderlands 2.. so 2 games with a card that takes up your budget... just steal the psu from some poor sap and wait til you can afford another upgrade for swapping out the mobo/cpu/ram if you really need that awesome card right away

Thanks!
I think the complete overhaul sounds better, but of course I will have to delay it a bit in order to save cash.

The time has come to say goodbye to my old trusty 8800 GTS 512MB (G92)...
PC Specs:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 O/C @ 3GHz
Mobo: Asus P5E-VM HDMI
RAM: Mushkin 4GB DDR2 PC2-6400 4-4-4-12
PSU: Coolermaster Real Power M520
My budget is up to 250€/£203/$324 and I do not wish to exceed that, unless there's a slight price difference.
Also, in case there's a need for a PSU upgrade (in order to handle the new GPU), I'd like some suggestions on which one I should buy.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
