Will this reignite your love for Humble Monthlies?
Less than zero interest in Crash and Spyro, so this bundle depends on whether COD WWII seems like something I'll play someday. It does seem to have a robust single-player campaign, so maybe it'll be worth it.

I have played a few missions so far and for me the campaign is totally worth the price of humble. So far every mission is on another location which is a huge positive for me as its not the typical fight on the same locations that most linear shooters seems to prefer. Also there are a few circumstances that the game asks you to try some new things like driving or stealthing through some german camps or even chase a train. The story is mediocre but it helps you immerse yourself and the graphics are amazing.

Thanks for chiming in - I'm coming around to keeping the bundle this month, and I appreciate your experience with it.

UK/US only DLCs. The actual fuck.
I never liked 3D platformers and I also think those PSX era games were particularly bad as the technology was new and they were just throwing in whatever they could come up with. Never really had a chance to feel nostalgic for them, even though I was a teenager in the late nineties. The first 3D console I actually gave half a shit about was the DreamCast.
Combined with the fact that I do not give a flying fuck about the latest CoD game that died out because the new one is around the corner and Activision-Blizzard needs new idiots for their online lootbox casinos to start the entire skin hunting over, this looks like an especially skippable month.

it's neither good or bad. A lot of the value revolves around whether someone has nostalgia for the early playstation platformers (Crash & Spyro), and a handful of players may care about some overpriced fish
If neither sparks your interest, move along

You'd still have to use a VPN for activating the keys on Steam btw...I already tested it.

I didn't have to use a VPN for the base game personally since I received a ROW key (Canada <-> US)...but I suppose it may depend on where you live.

why only customers form Great Britain, United Kingdom & United States get the DLC ? !!

it's not HB. It's Activision. Those two DLC are just cosmetics, and the proceeds are gifted to a U.S. based charity

Even so... SCS Softwares (Euro Truck Sim 2 / American Truck Sim) kicked off a pink ribbon event on the first of October. They have released a paint job DLC and all proceeds go to charities, which I think seem to be UK based. Yet, everyone can purchase the DLC. So that Activision isn't making those DLC's available to everyone is kinda weird in my eyes. At least, they're only cosmetic stuff.

I don't know if there's a cost to it, or if there's tax implications, in relation to other countries.
But from a PR perspective, America is very jingoistic, and gives way too much deference to veterans. Just the fact that such DLC exists is good marketing here. On the other hand, most other countries are not as "pro-military", and can often be anti-U.S. Military, so the very existence of such DLC could hurt their sales.

That COD DLC packs for only UK and USA is weird. I'm in Canada and even the steam links say not available for your region.

In case anyone is wondering why the two DLCs don't activate outside the US, they're charity DLC, with the proceeds going to non-profits that assist veterans.
It's also just cosmetics:
1) a special commemorative in-game Uniform, Weapon Camo, Weapon Charm, as well as two Calling Cards and two Emblems
2) a special Call of Duty Endowment in-game helmet, calling card, and emblem

Bundles have made my backlog long enough. But I do have games that I want, so if there's a good sale I might jump on it. I came very close with Planet Coaster, but it still hasn't reached the $10 mark. And I suspect it'll get bundled soon, as (a) they can make more money off DLC, and (b) Planet Zoo will be coming out soon (and I'm salivating for that)
I'm trying to teach my son to do the same. He's good with money, but if he's saved up to reach his goal, he won't wait for a sale - he's "willing to pay more to play sooner"

It’s good to see some (kids?) - not sure how old your son is - are responsible with money and live within their means. When I was younger I’d want all the shinies but as I got older and had other priorities I’ve slowed the eager buying of games and wait for better deals. Granted there’s always going to be a better deal tomorrow but there’s a time to bite where you can live with seeing a marginally better price tomorrow.

Anyone making giveaways for the COD DLC's: They will only activate in UK and USA, so make them region restricted.
Comment has been collapsed.
They can be redeemed anywhere in EU until Brexit (31 Oct).
Edit: anywhere *in EU
Comment has been collapsed.
But SteamDB says only purchasable in US and UK. Doesn't that mean they can only be redeemed there?
Comment has been collapsed.
Sorry, I rushed my reply, it should have been anywhere in EU, because UK shares the same regional lock as any other EU country.
Comment has been collapsed.
I don't think Steam is following that rule: https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/xXGHCkc
Never mind, that's Humble Bundle doing that. I don't know what would happen with Steam.
Comment has been collapsed.
The keys are not delivered to EU countries, but they can be redeemed by EU countries.
The countries that receive the keys and the countries in which a key can be activated are two different things (look at Spyro and Crash Bandicoot for example).
Basically they give a sub and this sub dictates which countries can activate it. But HB / the publishers decide to which customers (countries) they allocate the keys.

Regional pricing + tax treaties/codes + trade treaties makes a heck of a mess.🤦♂️🤷♂️😕😖😵
ps.
Thanks for the great work you always do in the forums on these deals topics. 😍😻👏

:-) i put the dlc`s on my hidden list - thank you for the info - I put them back to enter the GAs (even they are not really interesting)
Thank You for your HB infos all the time!!1! I love HB monthly - even if the games are not my taste - they are allways great games!
Do You know if there will be a 99$/year promo again?

Just in case you want to know there is also a splitscreen mode for zombies. From what i heard zombies are good so is the campaign but so fair i have only tried the mp part.

Cod wwii and infinite warfare are supposed to have the best campaigns in the cod series. I have only played iw and i was surprised that it was that good for a cod game so i am sure wwii will be good enough.
Comment has been collapsed.
As far as WWII goes though that may well be the nostalgia talking.
Comment has been collapsed.
Of course that can be the case and i wont be sure until i try it. But i dont think nostalgia for WWII is playing a big role as the last two battlefields are being hated with passion eventhough both are on eras that people were asking to be explored again.
