I think the timing is fairly flexible, but Delta is the one who decides whom he will allow as a guest gifter. You don't have to worry about doing mass giveaways with this group, though. We like giving more than receiving, so we just gift when we can. )

I've never worried about the amount of time guest gifters spend in the group, as long as they don't enter anything. Most have just made their pile of giveaways and run before they qualify for full membership though. :P

I'm guessing that if you just made 16 normal, non-bundled giveaways, you'd qualify to join. (Assuming you don't win anything else between now and then.) There are a lot of games on people's wishlists for under $20, many of them under $10. Just don't do 16 copies of a game that's 75% off or you'll run into the waiting period clause. P

When you stop to think about it, this is a very odd group.
- You get into the group by excessive giving, yet you are not required to give anything at all.
- You are not required to give anything at all, yet the first thing new members do is give away a game.
- Being in the group means you have a greatly increased chance of winning games, thereby "ruining" your Won-to-Given ratio.
- The members don't have a problem with Won-to-Given ratio because they are too busy giving.
- In effect, you have a group of people trying to give games rather than receive them on a site designed to distribute free games.

Ya, was looking at that but $20 is a bit much. Any thoughts on Resonance of Fate? It is the only title I'm thinking of buying during this sale (already have most of these games on pc :/).

I'm not the best person to ask about that game. Had a quick try, couldn't figure out the battle system, got destroyed. Haven't tried it since. Heard its good though, Tri Ace tend to do great games.
There are a few cheaper titles I wouldn't mind, but not enough to go bugging a friend. These things always happen when I'm broke. :P

The lack of PS4 titles is what bugs me about these sales tbh. Been getting more use out of my PS3 for the past lil' while since I basically skipped that generation thanks to WoW. I noticed Journey getting ported to the PS4 and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture looks interesting but I'm waiting for a better discount before pulling the trigger on those games.

Been eyeing Journey for a long time but have yet to buy a copy. So seeing it being ported to the PS4 made me smile because it is something that I am interested in and gives me another game to play on my PS4 (which still lacks exclusives that make it worth having). Been thinking about getting The Last of Us: Left Behind Stand Alone since it is on sale this week and the base game is something that I truly enjoyed playing. Even impressed a few relatives who watched me play it since it looks so damn good (played the Remastered version),

I caved and bought both so I'll let you know how it is once I get around to it. I'm guessing NZ price is a lower? For some reason, the Canadian price was higher for LoU (even after conversion) which is odd since PSN usually does $1=$1 making us the cheaper region.
Also, never used Amazon credit though I take it that it is similar to PP?

Not a lower price, but I have a PAL copy and want the DLC version, not the stand alone.
Amazon credit is close enough. I can send gift cards to his email. No fees, but I hate dealing with Amazon for that stuff. The PP stuff goes faster.

I rarely buy anything off Amazon so I've never really dabbled with Amazon credit. PP is great imo though I wish the charges would show up on my bank statement a bit quicker (about a day delay, bit longer if used on the weekend). Not sure if it is PP or my bank's fault, but it is just a bit annoying having to double check my balance instead of it just appearing as is.

Just played it last night and I will have to say: Wait for a sale. It has a high production value but it is mostly you watching cut scenes with a bit of gameplay dispersed throughout. While not worth the full retail value (even at 50%, which was $7.50 CDN for me, seems a bit high in retrospect), it did answer a few questions I had about the game and scratched that itch I had for more LoU.
They did some much needed character development on Ellie so if you want more story and spoiler want to know how Ellie saved Joel then I say buy it.

Greetings, I think I would like to be a Guest Gifter for 4 days. Giving away in your group will mean that I have not to think to much about people not activating the gift or not responding. Two of the giveaways are games I really enjoyed (although they are bundled, is that a problem?) and maybe I can stir a bit of interest for them.
Do I need to stay in the group until the giveaways end or is it enough if I make them and then leave. Or asked otherwise will I be blocked out of my own giveaways if I am no longer in the group I made the giveaways for and could I compensate this if I make it your group and whitelist (empty) at the same time? And then the greedy question: How many people normally participate in your group giveaways? I would like to avoid another giveaway I don't get CV for.

- Bundle giveaways are fine
- You can stay in while they are running, just so long as you don't enter anything for group members. Same requirement if you wish to stay longer for more giveaway creation later.
- As for entries, I've seen over 30 entries for newer games, though something that has been around a while or bundled might benefit from being open to both group and Whitelist.

With my current pace this will not be an option for the next two years. I think my greatest problem is that I only want to give away games I played and liked myself or atleast would like to play. And with two exceptions I did managa that condition pretty well so far. I will just keep giving away games on my own pace ^^. Just have to figure out what to do with those few leftovers I have ....

I have had several groups before, but all are private invite only. But this group is for anyone who meets the group requirements.
Charitable Losers (blame members of the Backlog Attack chat for the name)
Quick mass boosts to raise CV (high discounts) or giveaways (mass bundles) to meet group requirements will require a wait period of 8 weeks after the boost before they can receive an invite.
This giveaway group doesn't have required giveaways, though given the kinds of people to be invited, that probably won't be a problem.
Now introducing the slot of Guest Gifter. These people will get a temporary invite, purely for making a giveaway or two then escaping before they make too many and get a permanent spot in the group and a hole in their wallet.
I obviously won't trust just anyone asking to do this. If you want to though, get in contact with me.
