iam fine with a one time only battle.net monthly if they release more early unlocks and those will be the next wow expansion and diablo 3 complete with dlcs lol, else this is a definetly skipskipskipskipskip.... Cant be good bundle if they cover like 30-40% of the expected full MSRP with a half game which going obsolete in a few week with the new expansion.

Objectively, it's a good game. Especially in this deal. People just hate the season passes and endgame content and microtransactions. Despite its bad rep, I think people could enjoy it's base story, but everybody just loves to hate things, and feel entitled.
Mully was right. All this "ew it's not on Steam" is just leaving people no enjoyment of games and just hoarding of library.

Not saying the deal isn't good, or that the game is bad. It doesn't interest me much, but I haven't ruled out giving it a try.
The point remains though that what we were sold was "All games are Steam games (or DRM-free Humble Originals)", and now that's changed to "with some exceptions".

The FAQ used to say, "The games come in the form of Steam keys or DRM-Free downloads".
They added "(Occasional exceptions apply)" after it was pointed out to them that Destiny 2 was inconsistent with that.

In addition to what Donners said, they did explicitly state "All games [...] will have Steam keys included", and explicitly said that information saying "in the future, some games may appear on other platforms" is incorrect.

Yea and it can end as for ME:A which was great game with not that bad sales but copy-pasted hates and screens gave as no chances on additional content and stopped whole franchise for a while. I'm not saying that we shouldn't stand up but make it count and do it with a proper reason other than "I don't like it so other must too". Many people who actually played the game (like for instance Total Biscuit) said it was actually quite good. Most people hated it just for the bad animations and didn't even play it. It's actually funny to see always people say how unimportant graphics are, and then suddenly they start hating a game purely for bad animations (by that i don't necessarily mean you).

I played every ME game and can say that andromeda was great as for story and gameplay it goes. I got maby couple gliches but nothing major as ppl were complaining(show me one AAA game that is 100% polished and i won't find title+gliches on yt) and with every hate on this game I've seen alomst same screenshots. Crap at best? Blizzard constantly makes really good games. The Warcraft and Starcraft games are some of the best real-time strategy games ever released. I played Starcraft 2 just yesterday. It's brilliant. And hardly anybody except Blizzard makes these games anymore. I am so happy they do. The Diablo games are awesome. Even Diablo 3, which was initially flawed (but still way better than "crap"), is a really good game now. Hearthstone is one of the best CCGs out there. You can hate Blizzard as much as you want, but you have to admit they constantly make high quality gameplay-focussed games.

Its funny that he says that blizzard's games are trash but if you visit blizzard website and click at games you will see 8 games, 6 of which are among the most famous and played games at pc community (diablo, starcraft, overwatch, hearthstone, world of warcraft). For me as a software dev that did some games in colleague it is 50 50.
If the publisher is crap the game is never 5 star ever, I can give 100 examples.
Do I need the many games franchises/ Activation destroyed, they will never make A Lost of Us of TW3 or Divinity Orginal Sin II and I ask you this, why do you thinks that is ?

This region locking is specific to Destiny 2. Other blizzard games don't have region locks (I can choose the region I want to play in Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 and keys for those games are not region locked).

Anyway, I really hope they see how wrong this is. If they insist of trampling over their customers, I WILL sue them. I know a lawyer in my country who gets all these cases about online stores, and he's so sure about the win that we won't even charge me anything beforehand, just a percentage of whatever I win as compensation.

I understand the anger. Indeed, that's a bad move to add this rule only now, and indeed, they may get some troubles for that.
Personally I don't think it's a really big deal IF it will be very rare and IF those games will be in the early unlocks. You don't want a Battle/Uplay/GOG/Playstation/Whatever game ? Then pause for a month, you have three weeks to do so, and if you really want the other games, then sell the early unlock. They'll probably learn the lesson anyway.and think twice before making a deal outside of Steam.
The biggest and ugliest issue would have been if they have added this game in the hidden games, and then added the rule afterwards. There it would have been a very, very bad move, and more than that, a true violation of customer rights.
Now we'll have to see if they'll give games outside of Steam among the hidden games, and if so, how often...

Wow, if it had been a hidden game, it would've been terribly worse, indeed.
I wouldn't mind if they changed it only from now on, and if people who purchased an annual subscription BEFORE the change would always get a fair alternative in these cases. I paid to get bundles for 12 months in a row, not to pause when they decide to come up with exceptions to their rules. They already have my money with them, so they should deliver what they promised to. I think it's easier when you have a monthly plan, since you didn't pay ahead.

I'm from the EU. I know about HB's TOS which say you are not permitted to trade the keys. But I'll stick to the simple idea that it is my key and I'll do whatever I want with it. So in your case, my advice would be to wait to see if more early unlocks are revealed, as is the tendency since IGN has taken over. And I agree that changing their TOS just to accomodate D2 is a shitty move.

I think it's fair to hope for a commercial gesture for the ones with an annual or X-months plan prior this new rule. It probably won't happen, but you might want to open a petition, or go alone and send a second ticket to the support and be threatening and convincing, asking for $5, a free month or whatever you please, or else, boom, they'll be sued. They'll probably lose and they should know it (don't expect billions though). You'll probably get noped a second time though...
Then again, personally, I feel disappointed, but that's all, and it would have been the same if I had an annual plan. I'm probably too nice and easy-going.
I see that like a book of tickets for a theater specialized in a genre, an era or a language, which then offers sometimes some other type of movies. I would be sceptical, perhaps I would try to get free pop-corn for my next movie, and I would think twice before buying a new book of tickets if those unwanted movies would become legions.
In case of "No, good Sir, no free pop-corn for you" and not even apologies, well, I'd use my remaining tickets for the movies I was promised, avoiding the new and unwanted ones (unless they actually could interest me), and once all the tickets are used, probably no new book of X tickets or even bye bye for good. But clearly I wouldn't sue them or even burn the theater like a psycho. The harm is not that high for such extreme.
Though, what I say is only due to the fact that you can pause for a month even with an annual plan (so they don't actually steal your money for an unwanted game), and my mood will change if they now decide to give plenty of games on other DRM (or way worse, other platforms), and/or if they hide them among the mystery games, or if they now decide that you can't pause when you have a X-months plan. Then, even the Dalai Lama would get a bazooka and go to IGN-Humble place.

Considering how much I paid for the annual subscription, I'd say "this much" is pretty meaningful. Also, from my experience is much less of a hassle to sue wrongful companies than trying to reason with them. You just give some info to your lawyer, they take care of the rest (and a chunk of however much you win hehe). Usually, show up in court once. A lot more money per hour spent than working lol
