Did you buy this?
Well I think I'm gonna activate the Slim Rancher and the rest is going up for trade. I guess.

Would be very satisfied with the bundle. Couldn't afford it tho ._.
Can try to win some now :3

First time for me, and to be extremely honest, better than expected. The Doomsday Deponia was a surprise. I would have prefered another game than Slime Rancher though, Now have to buy the first 3 Deponia games and Hotline Miami 1

Just a heads-up: Last time I checked "Deponia: The Complete Journey" featured content not available in any other way. Even if you already have all the games you need to buy it for the full price (basicly buying all the games again). You might want to check that out and decide what to buy. Since "Deponia: The Complete Journey" doesn't contain Doomsday (only part one to three) it might be worth it to you.

The only difference between buying separately and getting the complete pack is a few making of or behind the scenes videos. That's the only thing missing that you can't get anywhere else.

Sometimes The Complete Journey is bundled or at low price, and it's more cheap to buy it this way than individual games. To be honest, though they are interesting to me, I never watch the making of. It's just that i never remember to do it =]

Have lots of games to play, have no time to play them. When I can get a good deal, I'm really sure i'll buy them, the same with Hotline Miami. And have a few adventures as well, but haven't started even one yet :\
I play Steam games usually to detox me from League of Legends, too much salt over there. Sorry for bad englando.

It annoys me a bit that even big stores like Humble don't link to the game's Steam Store page (at least on this monthy's page). It's not that hard, is it? Anyway, seems to be a good bundle. Thanks devotee for ... well, being so devoted to the forums I guess. :)

The devs actually said Australians should get it through different means if they want to play it :)

I'm really bad at guessing these games. Thought with it being October they would have at least a few horror games.
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh, that would have been nice. I've checked and the next bundle will be released on November, 4th so it's unlikely they will do the horror theme then (plus Stardew doesn't hint at that, ha!).
Maybe they didn't want a monthly bundle to focus on a specific theme because not all people would like it.

I would assume so. Grim Dawn is plenty horror for me :p

Pretty good unlocks. Between this and Stardew Valley I think I'll pick up Novembers too.

My bundle is missing Hotline Miami 2. The game is banned here in Australia but does that mean HB can just omit it from a purchase like that?
Comment has been collapsed.
Just not giving you one game at all is shitty as hell.
It's not just shitty, it should be illegal under some kind of consumer law. You can't just falsely advertise that you're selling one product, and then alter the composition of that product willy nilly.

There are actually no issues with activating HM2 in Australia. Both keys and Steam gifts activate fine. Funnily enough I already have it on my Steam account.
It's very unprofessional of HB to just leave it out without even an explanation though. I have submitted a support ticket about this.

HB support replied already.
"Sadly we cannot include a Steam key for this title due to Region restrictions in Australia. A DRM free version of the game is however offered at the bottom of your download page"
Which is total BS considering they did not disclose this in advance. I will definitely be chasing this up.

Let us know how you go Dummy! While DRM is 'nice' (and completely makes no sense! Steam key banned, but DRM is fine?) , we were told we'd be getting steam keys. If they can't give us a game because it's banned, they should offer us a replacement game of equal 'value'.
Comment has been collapsed.
Ok will do. I do suggest you chase it up also if you're in the same boat. They might be more accommodating if more people raise the issue.

They haven't replied to my 2nd message yet. I was pretty amazed that HB made the first response within 1 day, but that was obviously a copy & paste job. They're usually much slower.

They insisted that the bundle was supplied in full since the DRM-free version is there. Wouldn't even address the issue of the Steam key being left out.
Then they gave me the "we'll take your feedback into future considerations" routine and closed my ticket. So basically told me to get stuffed.

I have a DRM-free download on my bundle page, along with the Steam copy to redeem/gift (I'm in Spain). So receiving the DRM-free version of the game is nothing special for Australian buyers (everyone got that too). In fact, they're taking away from those buyers the Steam copy, which is not nice (they're receiving less for the same price).
If I wanted DRM-free games, I would use illegal ways to get them. I mainly use Steam, so not having a copy for that platform would piss me off.

I got the same response from support - "Unfortunately, it looks like Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is region restricted due to specific regulations in your country. I’m afraid I’m unable to circumvent this and get you a different key — we have to follow the rules. You can use the link to the DRM free version of the game, which can be found at the lower part of your download page, to directly download the game to your computer."
Which is quite odd as they're still allowed to sell the drm free version in australia....
I requested a steam key to give to a non-australian friend in the original support quest but that seemed to make little difference. I'm fairly certain any steam key would be perfectly redeemable in our steam (from other reports), it's just it's not able to be sold in our country, which is where the problem originates.

Well, unless it was explicitly advertised that a Steam key would not be included for Australian purchasers, that's a form of false advertising and/or fraud, and you have the right to a full refund. I'm sure you don't want that, but instead want the key for the game, just like everyone else received. I'm not sure what Australian consumer law says in this instance. Humble may have been following one law by not providing a Steam key for the game, but surely they violated another law by not making that clear when selling the bundle product.

Hi there,
Since the game is still provided in its full form, we will not be providing any form of compensation. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Let me know if you have any other questions, I'll be happy to assist.

Humble Bundle
After a week I get this garbage canned response.
I don't understand how they completely ignore the fact that a Steam key has monetary value, value that Australian buyers paid for in full just like everyone else.
Nowhere did HB disclose that Australian buyers would not receive the full bundle.
Sadly on the internet unethical companies can get away with such practices.

Looks like a good bundle to me, although I'm not sad that I didn't get it. The one I would have really really wanted (Grim Dawn) I bought quite a while back on Steam. The rest is from okay to quite nice, I would even play most of them. Will get them in cheaper bundles in a few months ;P

It was my first time subscribing for Humble Monthly and I am glad I did.
Slime Rancher and Deponia Doomsday were a pleasant surprise.
I will try out Action Henk too because it seems like Trial.
Will trade or giveaway the rest :)
Next month is tempting for me because of Stardew Valley.
Maybe I will subscribe again :D
PS: I am pretty sure Hotline Miami 2 has cards too.

Humble OCTOBER Monthly Bundle!
WARNING: REPORT OF REGION - LOCKING for Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number!
Thanks SpankyPie!
BUT
HB support official reply:
Thanks dumbname4dumbgame
If you bought the bundle from Australia, you might have not received a Steam key for the game (only a DRM-free download). You might want to bug Humble Bundle support about this, since you should be entitled to a Steam copy to use in whatever way you want to use it.
You will NOT receive this bundle if you didn't buy it before it went live! - it is TOO LATE for that! ☹
