Battlefield 3 was the biggest game I have ever downloaded 20+ gigs. I'm downloading Bioshock: Infinite at the moment and it's about 15 gigs which surprised me.

Shogun 2 with fall of samurai (around 27 GB) then 1 day when i woke up and go to play it an update was released and when i go to download page I couldn't believe my eyes, it was written 2 GB/27 GB (Mac version was released and all of the file was deleted so steam could download new file which works for both Win and Mac, Funny fact: I have never seen a Mac OS up close)

And Rome 2 will be 35 GB, God help us all.

also if anyone has TF2 then that's your biggest download by far, the game gets 200MB update every week and you have probably downloaded the game more than 10 times already.

I guess mine would be GTA IV, with around 20 GB (that was a pirate version to play the ENB because the stupid SecuROM DRM from my legit CD kept forcing me to update the game and not being able to install the ENB mods), but for legit game I bought on steam I guess it would be Hitman Absolution with 23.4 GB on my hard drive

If we leave downloadable games behind the absolute winners would be PS3 games. A few games (I have heard of one, and I do not follow PS3 news) completely fill up their blueray disks.

I do not know if you can download Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, but in its disk form it is 50 gigs.

That's because of the nature of the files inside the disc. They're actually uncompressed. That's why it fills the entire disc. If that game was ever to be released for PC it would take far less space in your HDD.

I think you underestimate how lazy more ports are, and in general game developers. I see many games that have like 2 copies of every single file, for no apparent reason. Also, the developers had a lot of space to work with, and that particular game is supposed to have like 9 hours of video, so I would still expect a huge game.

Max Payne 3 with 30gb or similar, honorable mention to The Force Unleashed with 25gb, what a joke.
