What'd you think of the show?
Not gonna bother to watch it when it starts at 2am here lul

Didn't watch it, but Onimisha's return is probably one I'm most hyped about. I always believe its death after Dawn of Dreams was unwarranted, so glad to see Capcom giving it another chance!
I just pray it's not a souls like.

Outer Worlds 2 being next year was new info to me. Was expecting 2026 at best. So I was happy to see that one.
Borderlands 4 maybe next year or early 2026 depending on epic exclusivity. Not news as we already knew 2025 and Randy told us about the trailer days before the show. And the trailer was surprisingly underwhelming. Hopefully they plan to show more, soon.
Witcher 4 and Naughty Dog game many years away from steam release. Nice to see, but, not nice to have to wait 3-5 years for them :(
Tlou 2 was an easy guess for next sony game with the show coming early next year. Already played it on ps4, so, no interest in it. Give me Demon's Souls!
Pretty underwhelming show, overall.

I'd call this year's TGA as outright forgettable! The meme harvest is also really low, which is often how TGA gets remembered from the cringe and memes. As per usual, I watched and "live commentated" it (to an audience of absolutely nobody :D) since it has become a yearly habit now even if I don't know much about the nominees. I wasn't super invested in any of the awards themselves, I even forgot what I had placed some of my votes on... But to me the most important thing was that the DLC wouldn't win, so I was content with that. Astro Bot sweep was bit of a surprise, but only because I had personally never even heard of the game before it showed up in TGA nominees, so it taking GOTY over Wukong was wild.
Majority of the announced games were "meh" to me, and quite a lot of them seemed like they were just the same game all over again! There were only couple that piqued my interest but both are in very early development stages so I will have plenty of time to forget their existence before they'd actually come out. The Squid Game game almost had me hyped until they showed footage of what the game will look like, and it was just gigantic, ugly letdown.
The show itself was incredibly lackluster to me. It really didn't feel like a tenth anniversary at all, it was just mentioned here and there couple of times, but nothing really stood out as "oh wow, they really are celebrating!" It says something about what I thought of it that the highlight of the presentations themselves was the part where Sam Lake came on stage and teased about dancing... :D

I'm a huge fan of platformers so Astro Bot winning game of the year was a massive surprise, but I thought it was pretty awesome to see. Sony potentially has a massive cash cow with that IP, it's basically Sony's Mario and if it's done right they can turn it into a Mario type universe. I really want it to come to Steam, but I don't think that's going to happen.

For the 10th anniversary of TGA, they threw a really great show IMO. Lots of great announcements and surprises, especially from Capcom. I'd rate the show a solid 8.5/10 on enjoyment, especially compared to last years TGA, which I thought really sucked and would give like a 2/10 lol. What were some of your favorite announcements if any?
