- Yes, there are some haters (as in every other community) but I guess you can easily avoid them (I never encountered any, just read something about them)
- There are a lot of users so it may be difficult to find an username you're satisfied with

I used to spend a lot of time there, perhaps the best community I've been in (after sg, of course) =P
Well, that had mostly a "joking" (don't know if it's the correct word) tone, something along "If they can, why shouldn't I?".
It was by no means an invitation to laugh at others (they'll improve too, someday) but more of an exhortation to look at their "courage" and imitate them :) Sorry, if I sounded meany.
Oh, and I'm telling all of this to you while I have plenty of work I've never published right because I don't feel they're good enough. coeherent :v
