Do you tend to save some games for certain occasions?
I do, absolutely. I've always had a certain level of "I'm saving this game until [x]" but it only became a rule when I started participating on PAGYWOSG on this site five years ago. Now I save games until they fit into that event and I have enough time in the month to tackle them. In addition to that there's also a handful of games I've kept untouched because they are short and "light weight" on my laptop, and I'm planning to play them when I have to go to the hospital. This has been postponed many times due to the pandemic and me not being a priority patient.
I also keep putting off my console games, which are their own story entirely. I keep saving many of those for a moment when I'd have big motivation to get invested and properly situated on the couch, but leaving PC is so darn hard. :P

PAGYWOSG events are nice and they sure help with backlog, at least I know if it wasn't for it I wouldn't try some games sooner. I hope it's nothing too serious though it sounds something chronic. Hope you get well.
Haha, I cannot leave my PC as well. Maybe for a handheld device but currently don't have one. :)

I don't plan my games based on occasion, but rather how I feel. If a game I've finished had left me wanting for a deep story, I'll hop for that from my backlog. If I feel a game felt too much after finish, I tend to play simulations. I do mix them often times, but I don't think I've ever played any games based on any occasion. Well... wait... there was actually. I've played both A Plague Tale: Innocence and GreedFall and Vampyr and fitted great during the 2020 pandemic. It was nice to feel like it's the right fit. Now I feel like I should have thought about it more.

I do this with my old potato laptop, mostly for traveling reasons. And because of this I don't play those games on my desktop, even though I haven't traveled much since the pandemic started. Maybe I could act differently if the laptop could've run wide-range of games, not so sure. Besides this, there are also a couple of games I don't finish immediately so I can play them when I really crave a certain genre, and I know when it's time. Also, when it arrives Steam Deck might cause new habits on people, like keeping some games only on Deck.
Just wondering if you have some similar habits.
Also here are 5 songs from 5 Asian country. and a little something.
