Dear SG-Community

In Mid-February I said goodbye to SG (and especially to my favourite groups) because I went on a trip through the USA (East-Coast) and Canada (Toronto). Now I'm back (actually been back for nearly three weeks) and wanted to make a little comeback-celebration with a comeback-train. At the same time I'll soon start with a new job, which is another very good reason to make a train. (Some may remember my train last year, where I mentioned having a job interview. I didn't get that job, but I got another one where I'll start this summer.)

But the main reason for this train is, that I had a wonderful trip and that I want to make a nice comeback here at SG. And because my trip is the main reason for this train, I added a observation-fact to every wagon for you. As a European a lot of things in the US are pretty special and different. Some are funny, some are surprising and some even frightening. So I hope my observations and experiences are entertaining to you.

The train itself has the following properties:

  • To gain entry to the train you have to answer some itstoohard-questions about some of the destinations of our trip. But no worry, the questions shouldn't be too hard and solvable for all, if not by knowledge, then surely with help of google. Attention: For users in the groups "Positive Thoughts" and "Y-utopia": You get a exclusive direct access to the train (without the questions) through the link in our forum.
  • The train has wagons from Level 0 up to Level 6
  • For every level there should be at least one unbundled game
  • The train runs until Sunday 15th of may.
  • At the end of the train - so to say the locomotive - waits the most american game ever. (I think that's a must have on a US-trip-celebration-train ;) .) This GA is open for Lvl 2+, so even if you can't enter the wagons from lvl 3 through 6 it's still worth to go to the end. For users with lvl 6+ there is a bonus chance for the locomotive and also for all users (lvl0+) of the groups "Positive Thoughts" and "Y-utopia" and for my Whitelist.

Entry rules: No unactivated games, no multiple wins, no VAC banning history.

So, the train is ready, go to the platform and everybody on board: http://www.itstoohard.com/puzzle/9FGmrfl2

Additonally there is a little (unbundled) Bonus-GA (lvl0+) that you can access by answering some questions about my observation-facts here: http://www.itstoohard.com/puzzle/YpXdQs3z
(The same entry rules apply here as well.)

As always, please don't post any links or answers anywhere. If you have trouble with one of the questions, please ask here. If I realise that something is all too hard, I will help.

Have fun and a big Thanks to all the great and generous users in this community. It's nice to be back! :)

Acknowledgement: All the photos are from the internet. I have a looooot of pictures but they're of course not yet sorted out ;)

Fun train. Yes, that all sounds very American. Someday maybe I will tour Switzerland and do one for you.

I really enjoyed reading your descriptions and all the comments. I'll certainly come back to read more.
I've never been to USA but I'll put it on my places I want to visit list.

I've not had the opportunity to meet you prior to now, Gibor, but I'd like to take the opportunity to say welcome back to SG.
I'm delighted to hear you enjoyed the trip and hope you find home every bit as pleasant.
Best of luck...

There was nothing to enter for me but still interesting to read. For some reason I thought / was hoping there would be American Truck Sim in it haha :>

Good to se you back, man. Hope your trip was amazing!
The US can be a bit overwhelming at first, but once you get to know it can be a great place, and you can have some seriosly good fun over there.

Our trip was indeed amazing. And I wouldn't exactly say overwhelming, but of course you realize some differences pretty soon. A lot of them are fun or even pleasant. But of course there are also some that are annoying or even bothering. But that's the thing with traveling anywhere and at least for me, the USA was one of those places where the first two kind where by far the majority.
but the later two where at least enough to also enjoy home again. :)

Speaking of ""overwhelming at first*": Have you ever been to Japan or Tokyo in particular? O.O

If you haven't been there yet, you should really put it up high on your "places to visit"-list, even if you aren't interested in the (pop) culture too much. Speaking of which, I have very little interest in Manga, Anime, J-Pop, J-RPGs etc, but visiting Japan still put me in a constant state of baffled staring.^^
If you have already been there and/or are interested in Japan(ese stuff), you probably will not need to put it on a list anymore as the memories of your last, or anticipation of your next, trip respectively will be perfectly sufficient, right? :D

Have a nice day and a relaxed weekend! (:

Oh, sneakily bumping by the way. ;)
Also, thank you very much for the direct access link for members of the groups you mentioned. <3

No, I've never been to Asia at all and it's not that fascinating for me as other parts of the world. But if I go to Asia, then Tokyo and Japan would be number one on the list, quite definitely. :)
But I can imagine that it is quite overwhelming and very impressive. My sister-in-law is a big fan of Japan and has been there several times. (And I can imagine that with such a relative, we'll go visit Japan someday ;) )

I liked Canada very much as well, although I didn't see as much of it as of the USA. But what I know for sure is that
Tim Hortons > Dunkin Donuts > [loooong void] > Starbucks > [loooong void] > Waffle House :)

Next time, you should come to the west coast.

We hope do make the west coast one day too. We didn't have the time to make it all so we had to limit our plans (so it wouldn't be just a rushing through the country), but the west coast definitely is on our "places we want to visit" list. :)
