Maybe he has ideological reasons, which I totally respect.

I try to stay clear of the Steam store also, if I buy a game I buy it from the Humble store. I refuse to give Valve my money.

The only money I spend on Steam is the cards profitz.

Humble checks your IP! But they also send the flag over to Paypal to surrender your "billing adress" so they supply them with that if you pay via PP. Obviously this wouldn't happen if you use bitcoins for payment. Unfort. thats the payment option what they likely deactivate first if they put restricted bundles (like the last deep silver one).

To be honest I have no idea, might be via Paypal since I always use that.

why not wait for sale?
you going to play all three in the coming 1-2 months?

Mmmm it doesnt work like this - Refund with no question asked is for InDev games(14 days).
30 days is if you didnt download the game yet. If you ask for refund after downloading the game in unlikely to be refunded unless you have tech issues that they cant resolve.

If GOG only gets Firewatch to a 30% discount I am less optimistic to get it on the Steam Summer Sale, that's almost half of my budget :'C

Yeah, that's my thoughts exactly. For such a short game I wouldn't want to pay so much, not even 10 bucks to be honest. Plus my PC is lacking 1 or 2 GB of RAM so I'm not even sure if it would run that well.

Firewatch is great! I'm playing Dreamfall Chapters now, and its pretty fun :3

If I understand their website correctly: "New deals arrive every 24 hours and they are added to the ones already there.
Once a deal is made available, it stays available for the entire duration of the Summer Sale." Soo.... it might have been wiser
to wait for the last day and see if any of the games you bought are on sale by then. That concept's bit crazy as it, obviously,
seems to reward waiting until the last day, I still like it better than Steam's new flat sales, where everything is revealed
on the first day and then you're left with like two weeks of boredom in terms of nothing new to discover.

As I said, it's more rewarding for a potential buyer to wait until the very last day before buying anything.
But hey, at least there's something to check out everyday, while Steam's new flat sales are just
boring. Personally, I really miss those flash sales and community voted deals, even though they weren't entirely
fair (e.g. flash sale for a few hours only, while in the middle of the night where I live) it was just more fun to go hunting
for a deal that might be gone in a few hours.

Yeah, undoubtedly, but you also have to keep in mind that GOG has to please the publishers as well. They managed to convince them to do GOG Connect, so a system where they potentially get lower sales on certain items may backfire.
I agree that there is an incentive to check back every day, sure, I just hope they won't be hurt by this idea.

Well, I doubt that flash sales and so forth, wouldn't please publishers. They create extra incentive to buy something just because the discount is available only a short time. As long as publishers are fine with discounts in the first place, they should be fine with short flash discounts as well. I suspect the only reasons, why Steam doesn't offer them any more is because they got to big and don't have to any more (people are buying no matter what) and because of refunds.
Not sure, how it could be harmful to GOG to make this sale at least a bit more interesting than the previous ones on Steam. The worst thing that could happen is that everyone's clever buys on the last day.

Flash on Steam stopped because of the refund system, yes. Since they had to include the option to buy back if you can prove that you can get the same product cheaper elsewhere—including their own store— it spared them a few dozen thousand tickets.

Bloodlines was amazing but Redemption is a bit more hack and slash(ish), you can only play as Christoff and he gets turned to a Brujah. I loved it when I played it back then but had a really hard time with the boss fights. Oh and the final boss? Is a f***ing pain.

Why don't I remember rocket launcher in Redemption? I can only think of Res. Evil 4 ( that stupid old child dude boss fight? Yea, one-shot with the rocket launcher, most anticlimatic boss fight ending ever XD).
Feeding is the one you want to go for in Redemption, maxed healing works wonders.
When I first played it it was my first RPG-element game as well...I didn't even know how to equip Christoff. XD I died the first time I went in the caves because I was fighting with my fists lol.
PS. Welcome to my blue <3. :)

That explains why I don't remember it...I am notoriously bad (almost allergic) about buying stuff from merchants. I rely on loot drops instead. XD

What?He paid for games, which you get when exchanging money for them.

That would be the price tag too that it had if you went to a store and noticed they had the new shiny game in store which everyone is talking about.
Still its debatable wheter a pure-digital game is worth the very same price level of a physical but anyways.

GOG is love, GOG is life. Too bad I'm jobless. Darn.

It's a platform like Steam which until recently only sold old games. Unlike Steam however, the games they sell are DRM free. Some people say that you cannot share your games for LAN parties, other say that you can - I don't know what the truth is, but a couple of years back I contacted their support and asked if I can share praetorians for a lan party and they said it is ok.

Nice additions, No Mans Sky looks certainly interesting.

Firewatch, No Mann's Sky, and Dreamfall Chapters are very high on my games to play list, but sadly I don't own any of them yet :(
