So I was browsing the sales and came across State of Decay Year One Edition. Which as some of you know is basically the SAME game with All DLC thrown in and they made it "HD". It's not too well received since as I hear it the price was high and they abandoned the first one to glitchyness. The First State of Decay has been on my backlog bench a while but only has "11 minutes played". Should I attempt to get a refund it and get the Year One Edition?

Edit: Received my prompt shut down

"Hello Bainsol
We have reviewed your refund request.
We will not be granting a refund at this time. Either the date of the purchase exceeds 2 weeks or playtime exceeds 2 hours (the refund policy maximums).

State of Decay - Playtime: 11 minutes"

"backlog bench a while" so you own it longer than 14 days?

I know it says within 30 days of purchase, some users got their requests from January approved (not sure if true or not) thats why I was wondering

I only know the 14 days (maybe different in other countries) but pre-orders can be refounded up to 14 days after release...so this...and maybe some cases with an unactived gift are possible.

of course you can try it anyway

It does have the option so I figure I'll try, since it was abandoned apparently, I have none of the DLC's either. Might just get the YEar one Edition which seems to have more fixes.

Well I know on the first day at least (last time I used it) I was able to refund a game from 6 months ago. I did have less than 2 hours in the game though.

You shouldn't SUPPORT them. They're bunch of thieves.Player stood behind them during early access. They bought the game, reported issue, supported devs, and after their product became almost complete they decided to Re-release the exact same SHIT on PC/XboxOne and basically told the owners of the early access version to either buy the new "HD" version or go F**** themselves.Meanwhile The DEVS. of Don't Starve offered the original owners a free upgrade to Don't starve:Togeather........If you managed to get refund then i'd recommend spending the money on another game with some honest devs.

Yeah I might just do that and get Don't Starve together Bundle. My request was submitted, I wasn't going to want to buy DLC for it anyways since it's completely abandoned for the new Year One Edition.

Why would you get a refund for that though? This is the kind of thing that leads to refunds being taken advantage of. Say everyone like you who buys, for example, a AAA game, plays it for a bit, and then when the "GOTY" or "Enhanced" or "Complete" or any other version comes out, they just try to get a refund? That's taking advantage. The refund system is incredibly generous imo, and we should appreciate it, not abuse it. Too many people abusing it will lead to everyone suffering.

Buy the DLCs for the original (they're also 80% off) and you should be just as good and won't waste $8.

How about buying the games as gifts? As they are stored in your inventory it is easier to they give you a refund.
