That would certainly be odd, considering it's composed specifically for the official soundtrack of that game.

It's understandable in multiplayer games if you need to hear footsteps for example, but not singleplayer.

Because i don't easily like all music but i also like to play a game in a window and watch a tv show next to it, and can't have sound of both.
And even then i usually just prefer my own music.
Not saying alot of game music is even bad, but it's like mood music, i need to be in a right mood if i'd want to listen to it, with soundtrack as DLC that's possible.
Would be different on consoles maybe, watching it on a tv screen, but my last one is a wii, and been years since i played it.

I never turned music off in multiplayer games either. I just want it there :p CSGO, Starcraft. Always music on. Especially in Starcraft it was vital for the atmosphere.

Some games you can't help thinking about, even long after having beaten them. Great gameplay, engaging characters, and of course, a memorable soundtrack can cause some games stick in the back of your head years later. So I made a quiz about songs from games that stuck in the back of my head!
All you have to do is recognize the game a song is from, and you unlock access to one giveaway!
Listen to the song and write the game's title in the answer box. Most songs have been shortened to about one minute in length.
