no, they will not disappear, and you will still be able to craft the summer sale badge with them.

there will be no more card drops for the summer getaway cards

They would never do that in a million years. Each card floating around in circulation is a potential for income to valve, through steam market fees.

According to that logic, they could just have leave those Dota 2 invites alone - they might still have a value for collectors (like Steam Mobile Access, CS:GO Beta access, SMNC invites, Airmech invites, ...).

It may be different for things that provide access or services though, like betas ending, limited time invites, etc. For cards, there's no reason not to leave them in circulation because they aren't tied to anything that may have a limited time frame or status change or whatever.

Plus Dota 2 invites were STILL being used to scam (or pathetically attempt to) - people offering to trade Dota 2 for real games. Plenty of reason to delete that.
