The only thing to blemish their reputation is just that one "Not Received" on their profile. I suggest you first try that key again, making sure to remove any spaces in front or other things like that, and then you could try contacting support.

Hi guys
I recently won a giveaway on here and the gifter promptly sent the key through SG, however when I tried the key in Steam it said it was invalid. That was a week ago and since then I have been trying to make contact with the gifter, adding them twice on Steam (the first they declined, the second they have ignored/not seen). Their SG profile has a few other giveaways and they seem to be fine, so I do not doubt them, I'm just thinking they may have typed the key incorrectly or something.
So I was wondering if people could advise me what I should do in this situation please? Since a week has passed I can now mark it as "not received" however I don't know the repercussions of this (if it will result in a ban, damage their SG reputation, etc) and I don't want to do this over what is most likely an honest mistake.
Thanks
